Funky but good
I went out to get bagels just to test this bread slicer. We like bagels especially the ones from NY. We also like all kinds of bread, a lot.My daughter got a knife set but took just one piece for her bagels and gave me the rest of the set. She was fine with the knife she got but we were always on the lookout for a better one. Along came this funky bread slicer. I can tell you that it had no problem slicing the bagel from the store. I do not have NY bagels right now but I am confident it will slice NY bagels with ease.Though it looks kinda funky, itâs not hard to use. The handle has just the right thickness to hold it comfortably. Unfortunately, if you were to slice a piece of bread horizontally, it would not be my first choice. It was awkward and uncomfortable. But for vertical slicing, this one is a good buy.

Nicely made bread knife!
I like this knife for many reasons. First, I love the beautiful wood handle. My friend , who is an avid bread maker, said the nice handle helped her feel more stable as she was cutting the bread, making her less prone to slip and cut herself. I felt the exact same way when I used it. Second, the sharpness of the blade is excellent, and comes with a protective cover for storage. So that’s nice. Third , the design is great. It’s easy to control the size of the slices of the bread bc you can’t cut thicker than the distance between the blade and the wood handle, so I was able to get uniform pieces pretty easily. It might be nice if the blade length was about an inch longer, so as to get a better leverage/angle to cut the tough part of the crust at the bottom, but that still wouldn’t deter me from getting this knife. Lastly, I really like the cool boho look of this knife. I live in a cabin and it fits right in with the cabin themed decor. So I think it will look kind of cool hanging on my wall. So love that it comes with a way to hang it. All in all, the only thing that might out perform this is an electric knife, but I personally don’t like to mess with the bulkiness of one more appliance. I definitely recommend this nice bread knife!

Perfect for bagels
I ordered this bagel slicer for deli bagels when I realized the my existing knives did not work well. I also tended to stay away from bakery breads. This slicer is very easy to use once I figured out the optimum angle for slices. It cuts without crumbles and doesn’t need much pressure to be effective on different breads from sourdough to ciabatta. I love the design and convenience. It looks nice and would make a unique gift. The blade is sharp and comes with a cover. I have only handwashed, but it cleans easily without fuss. I am so happy I now have this and am sure it will be used quite frequently. I may even start baking!

The feel and weight of this knife is appreciated. The look and comfort of the large wood handle works well for my husband. It is sharp and can cut bread and rolls easily. Comes with a nice blade guard for storage. It’s not dishwasher-safe, but but that’s ok.

Aesthetically this knife is beautiful. High quality wood with rounded edges. The blade itself is stiffer than our other knife, so it doesn’t flex or give with the bread. It’s also much sharper, which is nice when cutting a softer loaf. It comes with a plastic sleeve to cover the blade when you’re not using it. The length and width of the bow is smaller which makes it more difficult to cut larger loaves. Overall, a solid recommendation.

This knife isn’t long enough to cut a round sourdough bread in the mid section where your largest slices come from. Instead I turn the loaf on it’s side and get a cut, but the slice isn’t as even. This knife would be fine with traditional shaped loaves of bread.

Talk about getting something you didnât think you needed lol, this thing Power serve bread like nobodyâs business. Its firm blade is like a saw and its wooden handle leaves You feeling comfortable using it knowing you wonât inadvertently remove a digit lol. This makes cutting up homemade bread and bagels. Super simple, I love it design and itâs look, it even has a handle to hang it . 10 out of 10 on this one, you hit it out of the park with a simple elegant tool .
