This knife is impressive from the moment you take it out of the packing box and feel the weight of it. It is a solid stainless steel serrated bread knife that can be used for different types of breads, but it is also wonderful to cut other fruits and vegetables, such as cucumbers, pineapples and tomatoes.The knife is designed with style, functionality and esthetics in mind. The the thickness of the handle and the blade really reflect the workmanship and quality of this knife. The actual knife has a great length which is great to cut many types of breads and I use it often for pineapple because it’s blade is of such great strength. Massive heavyweight of a bread knife
this was like receiving royalty. The box the knife is packaged in is quite nice, with what feels like a magnetic closure to keep things nice and tidy. The knife snuggles in its precise foam protection, with yet another rectangular foam protector to keep it secure in the box.It tore through my sourdough loaf, my artistic crusty loaf and a regular loaf of sandwich bread with absolutely no issue at all. It is well weighed and balanced. I could easily manage relatively thin slices with the sourdough and rustic with no difficulty. It almost was too much for the sandwich bread, so I likely will reserve it for the more hearty type breads.However, be aware this is a very long and hefty knife. It would not fit into my knife drawer with the foam blade protectors, so currently it is hanging out in its protective box (many thanks for such a lovely box!)in the cabinet underneath until I get around to installing my double magnet knife wall stand.I really like this knife! If you like crusty, artistic type breads I think you would also.

Clean Look & Very Easy To Use
I bake a lot of bread and buy some sourdough from a local bakery as a treat. I expect my kitchen tools to be useful for more than one thing, so a bread knife needs to do more than just cut bread. As soon as I got this knife, I put it to the test, cutting some crusty jalapeno/cheddar sourdough, followed by a tomato for a sandwich. It cut perfectly through the bread without tearing or creating a lot of crumbs, and went through the tomato with ease, giving me nice, thin slices. I also do a lot of larger cuts of roasted meat, so the 10″ blade will allow me to cut the full width, while the one piece design will prevent hard to clean residue while washing easily. I’m going to order a 10″ knife edge protector so it won’t get damaged in a drawer, since it’s a little too long for my knife block. The box it arrives in is really good looking, too, so I may order one for a gift in the future.

Hefty bread knife with great handle
I can’t speak to the metals used, the forging process, or any of that: I can only speak to the lovely design, significant heft and superior cutting ability this bread knife has been showing. I like the “one piece of metal” look, and would normally be wary of a metal handle as in a busy kitchen setting my hand will often be wet for some reason, and it’s hard to get a grip on such handles. Somehow the design of this handle is a perfect fit for my hand even when wet and being washed! Love it. It also comes in a snazzy box if you want to gift it to your bread-loving pal. Machine washable too.

Good balanced feel, large size, well-made
I bake a lot of sourdough bread of all sizes. I’ve been using a standard, thin metal bread knife that’s been in my kitchen drawer for years. I wanted to upgrade my bread cutting.PROS:- sturdy, thick metal blade- feels balanced and ready-to-work in my hand- large size easily handles my favorite 9″ sourdough boules- cuts through thick, crusty bread without squishing the soft inner bread- classy look from the delivery/storage box through to the knife itself- works equally well on thick, full bread loafs and on smaller, more delicate rolls and muffins (as a test; I don’t usually cut my muffins)- as with all knives, I hand-wash this knife, storing it in the box it came in to protect it from others in the drawer (protects my fingers too!)CONS:- none really, but be careful handling and washinkg the knife as it is VERY sharp

Single Piece of Stainless
This is incredibly sharp, as it is advertised. I was pleasantly surprised with it all being one piece of steel. This will be our go to bread and cake knife going forward.
