Excellent, handy chopper and blender
This chopper replaced a Cuisinart mini prep that finally cracked up. The Braun is a far superior product. The bowl is a heavier plastic, polycarbonate I think, and the whole thing feels more solid. The motor is a bit quieter and has plenty of power. I use it mainly to emulsify vinaigrettes and it does so beautifully, without leaking onto the motor. Itâs easy to clean and looks cool. One thing to note is that the heavy motor just sits on the bowl without locking in, which is fine while using it but keep a firm grip on the motor when moving it around. Very happy with this purchase, a great value too.

Well Made Chopper
Have always liked Braun Food Processor products. They are well made, substantial and do the job. I particularly like the double stacked blades in the Braun Chopper. It chops evenly and totally rather than leaving large chunks of food.It’s easily cleaned and takes up very little counter space.

Itâs very powerful little machine – it takes a little getting used to if you donât want to end up with mushed rather than chopped ingredient. One quick pulse is all it takes :). 2 chopping blades are great!

I like how easy it is to use. The engine is not part of the container, so cleaning is also very easy. Easy to storge because it is not a massive unit. Seems well made. Perfect for dried herbs and making salsa. Very sharp dual blades, which can be changed to one blade system.

Unfortunately the 1-star reviews are correct. This is very poor quality food processor.Stopped working after 3 pulses of light mincing. Got warm to touch and started smelling like something had burned inside the motor enclosure.Stay away!!

Just works if you don’t wanna use the big dog.
Works great if you don’t need a bigger unit.I use it between the immersion blender and the big food processor. Find I’m using this most of the time now. Does a really good job and you don’t have to do much scraping to get the larger pieces off the side which happens with my larger unit. Hold the top down till you get the consistency you want, and then done. The double blade system seems to work well. Haven’t used the little tray thing for emulsions.Not sure I’d use for cheese but for spices, garlic, ginger, parsley etc. When I cook for 8-10 seems like the perfect size and saves a lot of time.Really easy to get the pieces apart. Like the lock mechanism that holds the top on. Easy to use with wet hands.Great product IMO

Saves space in my small kitchen
Love it ! I made mayonnaise with the enclosed oil tray , and it works beautifully ! Chopping onions and clean up is easy . Fits into a corner of my cabinet

Worked great for awhile
I loved the product when chopping onions, garlic, carrots, celery. Do not use it on Softer cheeses like Romano or Asiago. It over heated the motor quickly and now itâs broken. I thought if I unplugged it for awhile it might start working but it didnât so I had to throw it out. Otherwise I liked the double blade and ease of use.

I chopped three carrots into 2 inch pieces and then chopped super small in this in seconds. You can add carrots or celery or onions to every dish in seconds. No more buying shredded carrots, you can make them. I love this chopper! I use it daily. Great but

UPDATE: spoke to Braun customer service. He had me show him over the phone what it sounds like when used. I plugged it in and the darn thing works just fine !! So not sure what caused it to sound like a bearing was gone ? No squealing and no sound of grinding metal on metal. It was fine. Iâm anxious to try it again.Braun rep was excellent and told me I was under warranty for 3 years and if it happens again, to take a video and call back. I was surprised by the 3year warranty but happy to know itâs there. All in all Iâm very happy with the warranty and the excellent service. And glad my little machine is working. So I am changing my star vote from a 1 to a 4.The complaint:Bought in March to use in the fall after gardening. Used it once to try it out. Seemed awesome. Used it maybe 3 times in each of September, October, and November. Worked great. Then I went to use it in December for Christmas baking to grind wafers and it went into a terrible squealing noise and a horrid grinding sound. I yelled for my husband, he said the motor is shot, donât use it. It could start a fire.Iâve had Braun appliances over the years and all performed well and are still working. I think I received a âlemonâ and would appreciate the company answering my message and replacing this faulty product for me. I paid $50 for this product and I should be able to expect to get my moneys worth. Thank you.
