    Baby Fever
This is a very different take on an apocalypse story. Rather than zombies, we have human fiends addicted to the high they get from drinking blender babies.I initially found the survivors annoying and dumb in their actions. As the story progressed, that got better, and I found myself rooting for those I wished to see fail. The story itself was fast-paced, super gory, and caused me to squirm more than once. The tension and violence are high, especially in the final act and during the final showdown. It’s not just wanton violence and gore; there’s also a little bit of heart thrown in between Brian and his family. This was yet another enjoyable and twisted read from Athan, and I loved it.

Not for the faint of heart
Was not sure about this one at first by the cover but turned out to be a very well written story. Blender babies tells the tale of people going crazy over “baby juice” with that all the horrors you can imagine of people going crazy over this newfound “essence”. Brian, the protagonist, finds himself having to take care of his family during this trying time as this crazy new craze changes the world into a post apocalyptic type setting. Brian goes through many challenges both externally and internally to the point he must question his own morales and how far he is willing to go for the ones he loves. All in all great read just brace yourself if you are not a fan of grotesque and extreme violence.

    Bloody and Disgusting
Ugh, I really did not want to like this book. I literally felt sick to my stomach the whole time and on the edge of my seat as I went through Jon Athan’s Blender Babies. As a father to a 3 year old girl and a 10-month old girl I really felt for the main character. One, because I have a baby, and two, because my oldest is a girl as well and to know what those people would have done with her……….But overall this was a really well written story that was gripping and left me still listening. If I’m being honest, if it wasn’t for the brawl I would have never even considered listening to it. And no offense Jon, but I don’t know if I could stomach something like this again.I thought I knew extreme horror from the others on the brawl list…but I think this one takes the cake.Again, I really did not want to like this book, but I will still give it a respectable 3.75 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️.75

Just what I was looking for
I like weird stuff, the kind of weird that makes you step back and go “wtf” and leaves you a little different afterwards. And this is just perfect. So left field its wonderful. And the ending is just *chefs kiss*. I love the darkest parts of the human mind. It’s so fascinating and this is perfect. I’ll definitely be looking up more of Jon Athans books.

    loved this book
As grotesque as the premise was, this book captivated me from start to finish. Similar to Groomer, the most alluring aspect of this storyline was the protagonist’s retribution. As a mother myself, I empathize fully with what I imagine Brian must have been experiencing. I forged through his jarring battles alongside him, rooting for him in his quest to save his family. I would recommend skipping half of Athan’s books (mindless violence, tragic yet shallow storylines, and deeply unsatisfying endings). But this book is purposeful and delivers a promising reader experience overall. I would love to read a sequel to this, and I commend Athan on yet another truly gratifying read.

    Morbid and disturbing
Although there were parts I had to put down i thoroughly enjoyed this book and was invested in knowing if Brian and his family made it in this apocalyptic world. It scared me because I have a 4 year old and I couldn’t imagine this happening to him. I’m upset because i don’t know if he made it or not tho

This book was so sick and twisted, as a mother it was gut wrenching to read but I’m a horror ‘fiend’, but Jon I need more of lord of the flesh!! I read your notes in the end of the book and I’m begging for a sequel or spinoff with him!!!

i wasn’t sure if to read this book due to the book being based on babies however the characters are so good and the gore around the blender babies isn’t too much .i liked the relationship between brain and his brother , the only thing i wasn’t keen on was the ending i didn’t feel like it was enough to leave it like that .This is my seventh jon athan book i have read and they have all been a good read , keeping me entertained all the way through the books

Another great read from Jon Athan, filled with blood and gore, with suspense and drama. An exciting read that has your attention fixated to each word, taking in each step and all the gruesome horrors throughout the whole read. Full of anticipation as each chapter progresses, exciting and horrific scenes that has your mind reeling so much so you can’t stop til you come to the end, yet still wanting more. A fascinating insight on how far we will go for our loved ones, and how much we can take and do to protect them. This read is just like that with so much more between the lines. A gripping and fascinating storyline, some disturbing characters, a book you won’t want to stop reading. Recommended fully to all whom love the extreme horror reads, but be aware it isn’t advised for those easily offended. Otherwise you won’t be disappointed.
