Black & Decker 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker (Model #DCM100B)
I’ve had this coffee maker for about one month and that’s enough time to learn all the good and bad things about it. I have to give this coffee maker two thumbs up. I absolutely love it. I’ve read other comments about how noisy it is or it doesn’t keep the coffee hot after brewing, etc, but I have not found those things to be true at all. Mine is quiet, and keeps the coffee plenty hot after brewing. Its easy to clean and I have discovered that if I fill the water to the weep hole in the back, I can get almost 14 cups out of this 12 cup coffee maker. The best part about this coffee maker is it makes very, very good coffee and no spill when you pour it into your cup. I haven’t found any bad things about it. It makes great coffee and easy to use, so I don’t know what more a person could ask for. I don’t know how long this coffee maker will last, but I sure love it. I’m going to buy another one to have as a “back-up” when this one gives out just in case this model will no longer be available. Yes sir, this dog will hunt. Y’all take care. One Year Update: I originally purchased this coffee maker in June of 2020 it is now July 2021 and it is still making great coffee without any problems. I’m an avid coffee drinker, so this coffee maker does get a workout. Still operates and performs just as it did the first day of use. Takes about 12 minutes to make a full pot of coffee and still tastes great and works great in all respects. I take care of it and do not abuse it. I clean it when it needs it and always use filtered water. Its wonderful. I have read many reviews, the good and the bad, and I respect all opinions and experiences that are shared, but for me…… all good here. In fact, all is great here. The last coffee maker I had lasted more than 15 years and I would have bought another one of those, but they don’t make it anymore. I expect this one to give me many years of service as well. Y’all take care. Two Year Update: July 1, 2022 It’s still working great! Works the same as the day I received it. No problems. I’ll update again in 2023, y’all take care.Three year update: June1, 2023 I purchased it in June 2020 and its been three years and happy to report that it is working great and I’m having a cup of coffee as i type this. I believe that coffee makers, at least most brands, last a long time if you take care of them. Yes, there are always going to be exceptions to that rule, but keep them clean and give it a vinegar flush at least three times per year and as stated earlier, I only use filtered water. I won’t be giving anymore yearly updates, but I will update again when, and if, this coffee maker stops working. Hope this review gives some insight as to my experience thus far. Y’all take care.

    Reliable
Works better than the Ninja I paid $149 for . It is a pretty basic machine. My only complaint is the color of the lettering on the buttons is virtually invisible to me as it is a light blue color and I wear glasses . that’s it! It works great and easy to use . Buy this one instead of the expensive fancy brand.

    Nice coffee maker
So far so good. You will need to add more grounds if you like your coffee stronger. It brews quickly. Bonus is it auto shuts off after a couple hours. For the price it was a good investment so far. I don’t use the program so can’t attest to that feature. With our hard water we normally need to get a new coffee maker every 2 years. Even despite cleaning. Bottom line, happy with my purchase.

    Pretty decent!
This is a decent coffee maker. It does what it’s supposed to do, at a reasonable price.I love that the filter basket is removable for easier cleaning. Display and operation is (mostly) intuitive. I really like the design of the brew head (I have no idea if thats the correct term – the part where hot water comes out and goes over the filter basket). I think it is shaped in a way that provides a more consistent brew. I’ve only had it for about a month, but I’ve had other black + decker coffee makers before and even living somewhere that has hard water and being someone who is too lazy to only use filtered water in my coffee maker, they always last longer than average for coffee makers. So I expect it will last a long time.I only have some minor complaints. Nothing that would make me not want to purchase this, but it would have made me think twice if I had a little more room in the budget when I was in the market for the coffee maker.1) On my previous coffee maker, you could turn on the “strong brew” setting at any time. You didn’t have to do it before starting the brew. This has been hard to adjust to and I don’t really understand why it is set up this way.2) The carafes pour spout is designed in a way that makes fully pouring it out difficult. When filling the coffee maker, I have to almost tip it upside down and move so that I’m dangerously close to missing the reservoir just to get all the water out. This could be fixed with a more conventionally designed pour spout.3)The carafe is designed so that, no matter how you turn it, when coffee is brewing, steam comes out and obscures the coffee maker screen in the middle. It’s very annoying but it also worries me that those components will ultimately be damaged by steam. I’ve never had this on other coffee makers – I think that a deeper recess for the carafe to sit in or a different shape for the carafe would help.Just my thoughts. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker, but I’d like it even more with a few minor changes!

Great quality. Make great coffee. It only drips if I overfill the pot. As long as I keep it 3/4 inch from the top, it doesn’t drip at all. And that’s saying something! All other brands I’ve tried ( Mr Coffee, Braun, Hamilton Beach, etc ) drip and dribble like mofos.

This is one of many coffee machines we have purchased over the years. This was purchased as a replacement and we are happy with it. It is easy to clean and keeps the coffee warm for a long time.
