Surprisingly one of the best things I purchased this year
If there’s anything negative about this product it’s how often you have to clean it. It’s great. Protects my knives, counter tops, cuts even slices, and sores away easily. I’d highly recommend it if you make homemade bread.

OK I love this bread cutting guide! My son helped me figure it out lol I went to use it and it wouldn’t cut all the way to the bottom of the bread. Turns out you had to flip the guides around. They have a little locking mechanism where you pull the sides out and then twist them around. I read someone in the reviews they returned theirs because of it, not knowing. There aren’t instructions that I saw so I’m not surprised. The knife isn’t very sharp but I liked how it attached to the side of the crumb tray so I got it. Figured I could have it sharpened at some point. All in all, I really like it!!

I’m still on the fence with this one! It does scratch very easily, so you have to be careful when your knife gets to the bottom. You have to be careful as the knife goes down to make sure you’re not cutting the guides as well. I’m going to get a cheap cheap light weight cutting board or mat and cut it down to fit the bottom to keep from scratching it up. It will have to cut three different sizes depending on what width I end up using. I’m thinking that should work great, we will find out soon. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is not high enough for some of the bread I make in the bread machine, so you are guessing and hoping that you start the cut in the right place. Well, you usually are not! My cuts on my tall loaf came out very very uneven. Still trying different ways of cutting the tall ones. I wish the guides were a little tighter in the groves they set in, would make it a little easier to hold the bread and not move back and forth to much. I like the sturdiness for the most part. I like how it comes apart and stores in the tray, fits right on top of my bread machine for storage. Nice looking, but still trying to like it.

Questionable purchase
I was super excited to get this bread slicer. I make a lot of homemade bread and thought it would be cool to have the tray and knife as well. The actual product did not live up to my expectations or the ones set in the product details. The slicer itself is easy to set up, you just flip the sides up and you’re done. Putting it down can be tricky. You have to pull each of the sides down and twist them in to store it away. The mechanism is fairly tight but I assume it should loosen with use. The tray is extremely flimsy. Just pressing on the board at the bottom to wipe it clean made it move. You would not be able to carry much, if anything, on the crumb catcher as a tray. Also, wiping the bottom out with a bit of cooking oil I found it to be finished with some pigment. This was not the case for the sides of the tray or the bread slicer itself. The knife fits pretty well on the side and the magnets seem pretty secure however the knife does not work well at all. I tried to slice through a bread roll with very little success. The most exciting part for me was that it stands up well. Be sure to stand it up with the knife pointing up or it will keep falling over. If you’re looking for a bread slicer and crumb tray with a dull, one sided knife, that stands up well this is the perfect set. If not, I’d recommend purchasing something different.

Pleased with the quality and does the job perfectly
