Steamer basket prevents boiling over
This is the most adorable little rice cooker and makes good rice but it is flawed. It boils over easily and makes a huge mess. The instructions donât mention this, but it really helps if you use the steamer basket, even if itâs empty. It adds height and breaks up the bubbles. A bit of water will still come out the spout but not as big a mess.

this little cooker makes rice cooking so easy! I use it several times a week. The rice always cooks perfectly and comes right off the pan. I have used it to make pasta as well. It works great. If you do use it to make pasta, you should really put a towel underneath because the steam releases and sometimes there is a little overflow. I would absolutely recommend this.

Turns out very good rice with a couple of tweaks
I love this rice cooker! We love jasmine rice, but cooking it on the stove was a mess. This rice cooker makes it perfect each time. The bowl that it cooks in is easily cleaned and it turns out perfect each time. I do make two changes to the process though to make it perfect: 1) I felt the rice was too dry when done, so I put the water a smidge above the water line marked. 2) the rice would be a little brown in a few places if I left it on warm. So as soon as it finished cooking, I would unplug it. Even if there was a little bit of time before I needed the rice, it was still warm in the pot. We have very much enjoyed this gadget. I wish they had recipe booklets on other things you could cook in this.

I cook rice often and it always sticks to the pans…frustrating. I LOVE this rice cooker, just set it & forget it. After the rice is cooked the cooker keeps it warm. Easy clean-up & the perfect size. I have 3 options for the amount of rice I want to cook.

Had no idea such a simple appliance could make such a difference in my diet: I’m now tempted to have rice at every meal! Does the job with no need to watch it. Simple to clean. (I do wish the water-level scale on the inside were easier to read, but that’s not really a problem.) I’ve so far used it successfully for long-grain brown rice, am looking forward to jasmine rice next.
