Used like new and definitely looks new!
Couldn’t believe I was able to get this pot for used like new discounted price. It did not disappoint when it arrived. Looking sparkly and brand spanking new. Maybe it had some scratches on the bottom of it but, it’s a pot. Let’s be honest it’ll acquire a lot more where that came from over time. And I can use the special stainless steel pot cleaner to make it as sparkly and scratch free as when it was first made. Excellent product in excellent looking condition. Oh and we already have one this was our second so we could make two batches of pasta at once for our family. It’s all clad stainless steel so it definitely has some heft and does weigh a bit but, I like that because I know it’ll be able to stand up to getting beat up and still look like new. Heats up evenly and very fast on our induction cooktop. Would recommend!

Great product ideal size for family dinners
Yep, these ain’t cheap but if your serious about your cooking and enjoy your time in the kitchen whisking up your favorite recipe you should consider investing in high quality cookware.
For years I hesitated and settled for good quality imitations such as the Emeril’s cookware but finally decided to treat myself to the real thing and find out if they are worth the high prices. Yes they certainty do. No hot spots, better results at lower heat, tight lids that allow even lower heats due to fantastic heat retention (just use a higher initial temperature put the lid on and reduce to low/medium and you get a better result than having to use med/high on other less efficient wares)
I got the same satisfaction than when I decided to buy chef quality knives … Once you cut and dice with a “real pro knife” you know why it cost $250.
I think of these pots as an investment and a heirloom to pass on to my kids. These things are so well built that you know they will last forever (proper care of course)
I read reviews stating that you will do just as good with the classic trii-ply stainless but these are truly a step ahead. How can two layers of aluminum not be better than one? It keeps a uniform heat over the entire surface and sides at lower temperatures, perfect for braising, slow cooking, stews etc and also quickly searing and pan frying without hot spots trying to shuffle the food around so that each gets a shot at it … With these the heat is uniform all around, just don’t crowed the pieces during the searing process.
Yep I did pay a small fortune for a custom hand picked set but these are worth every penny.
Btw don’t get drawn into buying the “sets” you don’t really save much except if you really need the huge 8 and 12 qt stock pots and prefer frying pans over skillets.
I selected the 11 and 13 inch skillets with lids, the 1.5 and 3 qt sauce pans, the 3qt casserole steamer combo, the 4 qt sauté pan, the 6 qt deep sauté pot and 6 qt fry basket. That’s the equivalent of 16 pieces for the price of their advertised 14 piece set. FYI I keep my Emeril’s 6 qt stock pot that I will use for deep frying on my induction portable burner (it has a copper core and I won’t suffer if it gets stained with grease frying at higher temperatures)
I prefer skillets and after researching realized that the 13 inch can also be used as a paella pan as they are similar except for the handle.
Word of caution, these are heavy, best suited for men or strong women not afraid to handle them.

    Great quality pot
I bought this pot as an “extra” size to go with a larger set. LOVE my new pot/pan set. These are high quality pots/pans and work fantastic with my new induction cooktop. The food cooks evenly and they clean up easily. I highly recommend these.

An essential part of any cookware collection
Having recently switched to an induction cooktop, we have had to get some new pots and pans. Aluminum or other non-magnetic pans don’t work. I’ve always liked All-Clad products, but have learned that there’s a big difference between their various lines. For induction, the D5 line is what you need. This 1 1/2 quart size is handy for many uses, and thanks to it’s heavy bottom, it boils water astonishingly fast. The construction is absolutely solid and beautiful as well. The lid fits really well. We have absolutely no complaints.

    Exactly what I expected
It cooks a can of soup or ramen well. It heats evenly when I boil water for a cup of tea. It is a bit heavy and overkill for either of those honestly, and it is heavier than I’d like, though it fits nicely on the small burner and does the job I needed done. I haven’t put it in the dishwasher yet, not out of fear, just out of being small and easy to clean, or needing it before I plan to run the washer. It is my go-to pan as a single man. I would not suggest 6 ramen eggs be boiled at one time in this pan though, it was perhaps too tight.

What’s Left To Say After You Say All-Clad?
Buy quality and you only cry once.
The initial joy of low price is quickly forgotten amidst the constant frustrations of low quality, but the pain of high cost is completely forgotten after years of problem-free use.
America’s Test Kitchen has long labeled the All-Clad four quarter sauce pan a kitchen must-have. While American’s Test Kitchen doesn’t believe that D5 adds enough value over D3, I do. D5 is just a little more even and a bit more responsive.
This pan comes to you beautiful… in its own sort of commercial/professional kitchen way. And if you use it every day for the next forty years giving is just reasonable cleaning, it will still look the same. All-Clad cookware is design for professional restaurant use where a pan may get used, cleaned, and used again multiple times every day. Imagine how it will do in home use. It’s a lifetime purchase. Your children will argue over this pan… but, if you buy this pan early in life, you will gradually migrate to All-Clad so there will be a whole set for them to divvy up.
Of you’re wondering if this expensive pan is really worth it, the answer is the answer chefs have given for forty years now: yes!

Not as heavy as I feared. Totally surprising that water/sauces boiled noticably faster! I attributed this to greater conductivity efficiency.
I believe one has to accept that stainless steel pans will attain a ‘patina’ with use. Internally, the only way (I believe) you can keep the appearance pristine is not to use it… There are salt residue-like marks even when the pan is glass smooth inside.
I would have preferred ‘bar’ handles vs ‘button’ on the lids, as they are easier to drop when really hot…?

I had this little pot for about 4 years along with some d3 lines and my husband was boiling some water in it, left it on the stove and forgot about it. When I saw my pot it was covered in black burn marks inside and out. I had to sand it down with a sandpaper to restore it’s normal silver color. Luckily there was no sign of actual damage, no warpping or pitting. It is so well made I thought the pot was done for but it has survived with some cosmetic damage only. Definitely worth investing in the d5 because my d3 saute pan has warped overtime and all clad refuse to help. D5 is way more durable in the long run especially if you are rough with your cookware.

Perfect size for many things. Reheat, sauce, instant noodles etc etc. High quality, well made (in USA). Heavy but manageable.

The pan delivered to me today and again, same problem that I saw in the 10 pieces set ,small pits on the bottom of the pan and corrosion? Also the handle was scratched!
But WHY???? isn’t it All-Clad?? Where is quality control??? Have I been unlucky for the second time??? I think if I use it the pits get bigger? Not sure though.
I haven’t used it yet. I washed it but no improvement. Most likely, I will be returning this pan.Such a shame and waste of time 😪😪😪
