Believe it or not, I was using independent little illuminated switches plugged into a standard plug strip to switch on and off individual Loweâs because I didnât want them on all the time or off all the time. This allows you to select each load you desire. Sometimes I donât wanna run my hard drive sometimes I donât wanna run another accessory. Sometimes I just want the PC to be energized or sometimes the second monitor is not to be energized, itâs good that it gives you a position because one or two of them will surely be lost to some wide power packs. Labeling helps but you can tell at one glance what you have on or off. I find it highly convenient and efficient. The body seems to be of an extruded metal with plastic ends. Looks good and seems reasonably tough. There is no overcurrent or TVSS protection. It made my day when I found this.

After reading the other reviews, some question it’s material makeup being metal or plastic and also it’s questionable certification, I still found this item to be very suitable for my personal application. I’m using it specifically only for my battery chargers for my cordless tools. Since these are low amperage low wattage devices and outlets are not used all simultaneously it suits my needs extremely well. However, taking an account other opinions and the fact that it has eight outlets I would not and be very careful to overload this product with a lot of amperage devices especially taking an account the fact that they’re eight outlets just to begin with. The switches function smoothly and luminate very well. I like the design of the product.

This is a heavy duty product that has well made, individual on/off outlet switches, and brilliantly does not have an unnecessary master on/off switch for the entire power strip.

I bought this to mount onside my aquarium cabinet and power all the components. It works well and doesn’t get hot, and I love being able to switch the filters and heater on and off individually for water changes without having to unplug anything. This isn’t rated for wet environments, so it needs to be mounted in the top of the cabinet to ensure each cord has a good drip loop.
