Works perfectly
I recently replaced my electric glass cooktop. We opted to switch to Induction. Because all of my cookware is stainless, I thought we’d have no issues.Sadly, my Princess House cookware is a different type of stainless that won’t work with Induction. This diffuser plate allowed me to keep my Princess House cookware. I am so happy.

Works, decent quality, not really an ideal induction fix.
These do what they are intended for, the quality is decent enough. But using it for a while, to boil tea in a borosilicate container I used previously on a gas stove turned out to be very slow and disappointing. There simply isn’t a lot of metal here to heat via induction, and then heat transfer to your cooking piece. No real fault of the product, it works, stays clean. But ultimately, I just bought a proper induction friendly pot.

Does not work – couldnât boil water
I tried to boil 2 cups of water using this item and it could not get to boil just little bubbles. I let it go for 12 minutes and couldnât get there. Donât buy. I wish I could return it but I am out of the window.

Hot plate use with Aluminum
Works but heat transfer is slow⦠still wondering about warpage.

Good quality
Great way to heat my glass coffee carafe on the induction stove top

Negates speed of induction
Itâs a great idea in theory for sure. The reality is that it warps when hot and takes around as long as a regular coil burner to heat your pan. It kind of defeats the point of having an induction setup.

When we first got our induction stove we had to buy a whole bunch of new pots and pans because we either had aluminum (bad for you in any case), non magnetic stainless, and glass pots and pans. This “adapter” plate makes using all those different types useable again. Although we mostly use cast iron now, this does come in handy because it will heat up and transfer the heat to the non induction compatible items (like our borosilicate measuring cups/bowls, tea kettle etc). The “handle” works fine, but this plate gets VERY hot quickly and when you use induction for a while you get lulled into thinking there is little residual heat on the stovetop. Beware or you will be burned! The plate is moderate sized. I would have preferred a slightly larger diameter, but it does the job on 3 of our 4 elements.

I am in the process of getting an induction range to replace my traditional electric range (the oven is broken), but then I have many pots and pans that are not compatible with the induction cooktops. Iâve already got a 11 inch plate, so with this 7.9 inch plate, both the small and the large cooktops are covered. The adapter plate is made of thick and sturdy stainless steel. However, there are 3 small ridges on the plate that may be for stability purposes, but not quite good for induction tops (leave a small gap between the cooktop and the plate). So in order to have better contact with the induction cooktop, I have to flip the plate, and make sure the flat side is downward in contact with the cooktop. This works nicely since Iâve already tested it on my portable induction stove. The handle can pick up the plate easily but always be careful when the plate is hot, so I always use the handle together with a mitten for extra protection.Overall a quite practical and functional induction adapter and quite a cost-effective solution when you have many non-induction cookwares.

If you need to use a regular pots on a convection stove, then you need this piece, don’t look further. It works perfectly ððð¨ð¦

Perfect on glass top range. Three flat plates on the underside prevent scratches to stove surface, and allow heat to distribute evenly when cooking. Easy to clean, too!

I’m an enthusiastic amateur chef with some pro/commercial kitchen experience in my past. When I cook at home I use a high output wok burner for everything – whilst this is great for me and is what I’m used to from working in a commercial kitchen it does present some difficultiesâ¦â¢ Some pans are too small for the burner and flames shoot up the sides⢠The heat is too aggressive (or direct) for some applicationsThis heat diffuser solves both of these issues for me and a couple of others. I can heat stuff more gently by using this under my pan and I can use a smaller pan because the plate keeps the flame from shooting up the sides. I also have a couple of clay pots designed to be used on a gentle flame (one is an authentic African tagine) – this is where the heat diffuser really comes into its own. With my heat on minimum under this plate I can slow cook lamb and other meat in a tagine on my hob for a couple of hours.I can also use my moka pot more easily with this plate – see my vid.The plate is well made and looks and feels like a quality item. It’s nice and heavy – a good mass to absorb heat and radiate it back more gently. I like the simple handle which fits into slots machined into the plate – this makes moving it when it’s hot a lot safer than using an oven glove or tea towel. It works very well and in my opinion, a lot better than the “double thickness, holy tin, wooden handle” design diffusers often sold in ethnic food stores.I’m told these plates enable the use of non-ferrous pans on induction hobs (copper, aluminium etc), but I haven’t tried this.I recommend this to anyone struggling with similar issues to mine.
