Good Solid Rack Cabinet
This rack cabinet turned out to be quite nice, durable and very functional. Assembly was quick and easy; all the parts were there.

It’s the little thought out things that matter !
Best low cost rack ever ! 1. Fan is preinstalled. ( 120v NOT 12v ) . A negative for me but not crucial. 2. It has pre cut out square holes with plastic clip in inserts at entry points. Not half cut knock outs like the others. No need to grind down sharp edges to prevent cable damage ! No sharp edges. Did I mention no sharp edges ! The only thing I wish they would have included was pre molded rubber surrounds for square hole. That would have made this perfect! What a time saver rack ! Thank you Tecmojo !

A good looking unit until you assemble it. Sags under its own weight.
There is no way this rack can be advertised or reviewed as “sturdy” or “strong”. It is a LIGHTWEIGHT rack for small, very low mass electronics.I purchased the black 12U variant with glass door. It’s easy enough to assemble, even without instructions. It’s clever to use cage nuts for assembly, as it’s common hardware to this audience. My rack arrived in good condition, the finish is clean and the glass looks good.However the lock assembly for the glass door could not have been tested for this application, as I had to grind 1/4″ from one edge of the washer and grind every point from the lock nut just to get it in place. That could be a supply issue or just poor QA, and it’s easily remedied if you have a grinder on hand.But the fatal flaws are evident once it’s mounted. First, if you mount this on the wall (as its description implies) it will sag under its own weight, drawing the front of the rack downward and wracking the box into a rhombus. The side panels will not align, and you’ll need to hold up the front of the rack in order to install them. No amount of adjusting or tightening can fix this. It’s a poor design and a rhombus-shaped network rack just looks bad.If you plan to keep this on a shelf, the side panels will align just fine but there is no escape from fatal flaw #2: whether this rack is wall- or shelf- mounted, the device rails are INCREDIBLY THIN gauge steel and you can bend them with your fingers. Forget installing a 20-lb UPS, my CyberPower 500VA unit is impossible to keep level. I’ll have to install rails or a shelf.All in all it’s an embarrassing unit at any price. I assembled this a week before mounting it and I’ve discarded the box so I can’t return it. The only mitigating effort would be 1) install only rail-mounted devices to lend support to the front and back, incurring a cost 2 or 3 times higher than the rack itself and defeating the purpose of using a network rack, and 2) don’t install this on a wall.
