Perfect size- cooks very well. Easy to clean. I wish I had bought one sooner.

Love this cooking utensil
Iâm in my late 70âs. My prior roaster was so heavy I could hardly lift it in, and out of the oven. This one is lighter, and much more manageable for Seniors, or those with lifting restrictions. Beyond that it cooks wonderfully, and very easy to clean. You wonât be disappointed.

Good casserole, good price
I like the size and I like how easily it cleans up after cooking. I feel it is a bargain compared to many of the other more expensive pots and like that it serves multiple purposes.

Amazing cookware
High quality, excellent finish, perfection. I use this for cooking soups and stews, I also have 2nother cooklife pans and I love them.

I love this so far…
I’ve only used it a few times but I leave it on the stove as my “go to” pot. The color is great and the weight is night. It comes with plastic clips that allow you to store the lid without scratching the pot. – I did have to apply a baking powder paste to clean the stains after making chili.

Amazing enmaeled cast iron base… confusing lid choice…
I am not upset a the lid choice as my title may imply, but I am confused. Normally you want the thermally dense cast iron to encapsulate the whole assembly for not only cooking on a range top, but also in the oven. I am not upset at the choice in lid, as it is well made, with a broad brim and small amount of play in the fitting, but the lid is vented which is another confusing addition… There are reasons to want a setup like this. Vented means it will not rattle around on top of the dutch oven, the glass is lighter than cast iron. Glass doesn’t retain as much heat as well.So my confusion on the lid choice aside as it really isn’t a bad choice, just a choice that confused me. I actually use this kind of pot for making stock and for making soups. It is easy to clean, works on our induction range, and is lighter than other Dutch Oven designs. This lightness isn’t just affecting weight, it also takes less time to get up to temp being less thermally massive, and still does a great job transferring that heat out evenly. The color choices are good as well, matching closely to my Ninja Foodie pan/pot with a similar orange color choice. I can also hang this with my other iron works style pans, which includes my carbon steel wok, enameled cast iron pan, and normal cast iron pan.I am happy to say it does still work well with making soups and stock for soups. I am happy with the cost, and happy with the weight. I would like to know why they went with glass and not a similarly thin cast iron lid though. The vent hole on the glass did mean I had to occasionally add water to my soup and stock as they would simmer over long periods of time.

Great color, good size
I have a 20 year old Le Crueset dutch oven that gets heavy use. I wanted a second one for those times I cook for crowds, but I wasn’t about to spend Le Crueset kind of money for an occasional backup. At $70 (at the time of this review), the Cooklife dutch oven is a fraction of the price. It’s not as “solid” as Le Creuset, but that’s to be expected. In fact, it’s nice to have a more lightweight option for quick meals. The color is beautiful, and the 5 quart size is the perfect size for browning small cuts of meat or for sauces. After 4 uses, it has cleaned up well each time. I’ll be curious to see how well it seasons over time, as that is the true test of cast iron. I’ll update this review if there are any surprises.
