In the photos you can see a side by side of the two types I bought to keep my crock clean and protected. There is simply no comparison between the products. The pink one doesnât fit easily. No matter what you do it will never be flat in the pot which I believe causes uneven cooking. Itâs also much thicker and had to be aired out for a few weeks after washing before I tried it. It was such a pain to use I went looking for another one. I am very happy with this one. I made pork carnitas in it yesterday and all the meat was cooked evenly. I could stir the meat without hitting any wrinkles, that the other insert had, which caused stuff to splash on me!I read some of the reviews which were unhappy with the size. My crock pot is an 8qt and it does fit loosely yet is the exactly shape of my pot. I could see where this would be too large for a 7qt, but I wouldnât know for sure. However, if you have an 8qt this thing rocks!

Why am I just finding this?
Iâm a big fan, but my husband not so much. He says itâs harder to clean than the pot insert. I beg to differ. It says it fits up to an 8qt, but my CC is 8 and it is just a little big. Thought it would fit more snugly. It works well. Way better than liners. Easy to clean and worth the money. Iâve used it on high for 6 hours and low for 8 hours. No problem. And it blends in well with my crockpot.

I have had these for a year and love using them, the ease of clean up and ability to dump the contents easily, BUT I have tried everything to keep them from smelling of everything I cooked in there. Itâs like it all has penetrated the silicone and wonât come out. Then my next meal started tasting like the smell. So, out in the garbage they went. I may try another brand/type or Iâll have to go to disposable ones.
