Great quality tongs
I have looked for a long time to replace tongs I have had for 30 years. These are the ones! They are very solidly made. I was worried about the handle openings being too large for my small hands, but they work well for large or small hands. The coating on the handle is very grippy, so they donât slip out of your hand while you are holding something hot. They clean up easily and are much nicer than I expected. They are well constructed and I expect them to last a very long time.

This type of tongs have been around forever it seems. The design is simple, but they work. I prefer this type vs the spring design for easier manipulation of foods when cooking. The design is just fine. The weak link is the composite metal used for the brad holding the two pieces together is not hard enough. this causes the tongs to loosen up. You can use a punch to flatten that brad to tighten them up a bit once. Soon after that, it will break, rendering them useless. Next comes the permanent fix. A machine thread tiny bolt, lock washer, and nut and some blue locktite. The easy fix is available to the maker, but they skimp and use pot metal, instead of 25 cents worth of low grade steel to make it right in the first place.
