Practical addition to my baking pans!
I love to bake, and am always on the lookout for things to heighten my baking experience. This will definitely be my go-to pan for muffins, egg bites, and other muffin-tin goodies. One thing is that the cups have a tapered design, so you don’t get smooth sides like with a regular muffin tin; you can see from a couple of other reviewers’ photos that the sides of your products will be tapered as well. For most applications, this is just a quirk and not an issue at all, but if you sell your baked goods and want a more traditional muffin appearance, this pan might not be for you.The fact that only the cups are silicone while the rest is metal is nice; it gives the whole thing structure, and you don’t have to put it on a pan to keep from accidentally twisting it like you do with a lot of traditional silicone pans. It also means that you don’t have to remove your goodies one-by-one from the cups; simply set the pan down on the counter and press down on the handles to compress all of the cups at once, and viola, you’ve released all of your muffins from their cups at once! It was an unexpected source of saved time.I haven’t had a chance to run it through the dishwasher yet due to plumbing issues at my house, but it says it’s dishwasher safe. They do recommend hand-washing though; if you don’t want to risk the dishwasher, it is pretty easy to clean. And then because the cups collapse, it stores flat, and saves space. All in all, I’m pleased with it, and it will get a lot of use in my kitchen.

Good nonstick quality & awesome ability to get flat for storage
I finally had a chance to make mufffins in this tin – they turned out great and released from the pan very well (even the areas with the blueberries). I did oil it before putting in the batter. The shape of the muffins is slightly different due to the shape of the silicone but not a big deal to me. The sides of the muffins do not brown as much as traditional pans but again that is not important to me. The grandkids had a lot of fun pushing in the silicone and popping out the muffins. I hand washed it as I only needed a paper towel, water and soap. What I love almost as much as all that is being able to push the silicone in and thus having a flat tin for storage. So far I really like this tin but will update this review if I experience problems.

Non stick plus easier storage
I used a silicone muffin pan years ago due to the non-stick nature. However, since the entire pan was silicone, it had no structure and was a pan to pull in and out of the oven. This pan is a new take on that idea, providing a hybrid approach of a metal frame with silicone cups for the benefits they provide. It works quite well, providing excellent non-stick capabilities while maintaining the ease of use of a metal pan.While already sold on silicone for its non-stick properties, prior to use, I was concerned that the cups were just popped in and would pop back out during use. However, upon receiving the item, I tried best I could to pop the silicon out and it stays firm.Baking with this is great as muffins pop right out without need to grease the pan. This makes for easy clean up and reduces calories. As a nice additional bonus, the pan is easier to store as the cups will collapse, reducing the overall pan height, when storing.It seems like with all the silicone in this product, a little more could have been used on the handles to improve grip and safety, as I’ve seen on other pans but there’s not. As it is though, this is still a great muffin pan, making cooking, clean up, and storage easier.

Excited to Use!
I am so thrilled to add this muffin pan to my cookware/bake-ware collection. I have a tried and true, but old, nonstick muffin pan that I’ve used for the past few years. The nonstick is pretty much stripped, and I have to douse it with cooking spray prior to using it. When I saw this muffin pan offered for reviewing purposes, I knew it would be a useful item for me to test.My muffin pan arrived fairly quick, and visibly is as expected. The metal portion of the pan is less weighted than I thought it would be. If I use a good deal of force the material is a tad flexible. The listing almost gave the metal a speckled appearance, which I associate with a denser material. That being said, I don’t think it will impact the functionality of the pan at all, and might help with the removing of muffins when you’re ready to do that.Which leads me to the reason I decided upon this particular pan. I was intrigued by the silicon muffin inserts in the pan. I’ve seen these kind of pans, either completely over safe silicone, or like this one, a metal frame and only partially silicone. From my understanding, the silicone aids in the removal of the cooked item, and provides nonstick abilities to the pan as well. This is an attractive feature, and I’m already brainstorming how I can use this pan in addition to making the obvious muffins. I have cooked things like eggs bites in muffin pans before, which are particularly difficult to remove from a inadequately oiled/sprayed pan….this silicone one could be a game changer for that particular use.i appreciate that this pan is dishwasher safe, as well as microwave safe (not sure why id use the microwave at this moment, but hey, thats cool). The size is ideal, regular for muffin making and comparable muffin pans.i decided upon 4 stars for one reason alone, price. In my opinion, the price is high, relative to other comparable brands, some that I consider “upscale and trustworthy”. Without knowing how this option stands out or is superior to those, I wouldn’t be likely to select it in a line up amongst others. I have not baked with it yet, but plan to make cornbread muffins in the next few days. If I have any additional thoughts about how it functions, I will be sure to update this review with that information.
