Makes Sandwich Bread Shaped Sourdough. Covered baker or 2 loaf pans.
I make my round sourdough boules in a Lodge Dutch oven but hubby prefers a square slice for his sandwiches. I almost paid double and purchased an enamel covered cast iron oval baker with lid and then saw this set. It is dual dutyâ¦you get a baker with lid or two loaf pans. I baked with the lid on for the sourdough loaves in my pictures but when Iâm making a yeast bread (like Amish sweet bread) I make two loaves uncovered at a time. Came seasoned but I wiped it out and added more vegetable oil. Cleanup is easy. Just brush off any flour or bread crumbs. The handles are slightly curved which allows a comfortable and secure grip when lifting. Love these pans! Outstanding quality, performance and value!

Sturdy and good quality
The two pans are quite heavy, which I was looking for. They stack nice, dutch oven style. Seasoned with avocado oil and high heat oven before using for about an hour and half. The loaf baked up nicely. I did use parchment paper. The loaf in the photo is a smaller loaf (400 grams of flour). A 500g should load would fit fine. Heated up both pans open (top, bottom) prior to baking the bread. You’ll want a good set of oven mitts.

Very easy to use easy to clean. It it a solid weight with the lid on baking or can use separately . Make sure you donât sit with water. I purchased the conditioning oil for my cast iron pans. They work wonderfully.

I prefer rectangular bread loaves and this set is perfect for baking my sourdough bread… plenty of room for the loaf to rise and the bread comes out easily.

Just Barely fits a Nuwave Bravo XL!
My conventional big oven was moved out of action, and I replaced with with a bravo XL, which initially meant I wasn’t able to have freshly baked crusty loaves anymore with my regular massive dutch oven.
I was feverish to find something to replace it and happened across this product, which by all accounts does fit at the regular – but the heating element at the top just barely blocks it. You have to swap from the regular rack to the air fryer basket to get that little bit of extra top clearance.
Seasoning quality is okay, very light. You’ll want to figure out a way to add seasoning before doing any intensive cooking like any other dutch oven. Overall very satisfied with the end result.
