Excellent 18/10 stainless steel cookware, Love it!
First impression was great. The cookware comes in a nice sturdy box. The welcome card is very nice. The cookware instructions are well written and helpful. I use the pot almost every day to steam fish/chicken/vegetables, cook pasta and make soups. Love the quality, size, weight, ease of cleaning and functionality of the cookware. Excellent product at an amazing price!

Good Quality Vegetable Steamer
Very happy with this purchase. The pot is nice and heavy, smooth and easy to clean. Just the right size cooking for two.

Best Quality, Great Saucepan
18/10 stainless pans are my favorite. The price for this saucepan is amazing. I also have the steamer basket. Steam escapes through the spout on the saucepan. To solve this problem, simply put the edge of a cloth, or paper towel between the saucepan’s spout and the steamer basket. This is the perfect solution since I like to steam fish and chicken breasts with this pan. I have no other observations, or criticism for this pan. The finger (oven) mitts are exciting to me, I use them to move the steamer basket. I am so happy to have a culinary quality saucepan. Without this pan from Buttermelt, I would be less excited.

Good, But Excellent Would Cost Much More
The handles on the steamer insert are welded, not riveted. Who knows how long all four welds will last?As one can tell from seller’s picture, the pour spout is both narrow and short. Also, the corresponding drain holes in the lid are only two rows high.I have a similar pan with a glass strainer lid from a brand name company, but without a steamer insert. It has four height rows of drain holes in the lid, with a slighter larger spout. What the smaller spout and fewer drain holes in this pan and lid do, is make it slow to drain water out of say, pasta, while holding the lid on the pan, and tilting the pan sideways over the sink. So I just pour pasta out of this pan into a separate pasta strainer. Annoyingly poor design. Also, the first time I used then cleaned this, there were spots in the bottom of the pan. These are easily removed with an acid, such as clear vinegar or lemon juice. One may not get these spots immediately on a brand name pan? Mildly annoying, but unimportant.I have not seen a premium brand option that includes a steamer, pour spout, and drain lid, so I am sticking with this. And if there is (or were) one available, it would likely cost 2-4 times what this cost.’This is a good pot, but not excellent: you get what you pay for.

Well made!
It is a good weight, steamer fits very well and the silicone finger pot holders comes in so very handy.

My go-to pan!
I love this pan. It checks off all the boxes. It’s just the right size I was looking for, not as big as a Dutch Oven , but not as small as the traditional “small” saucepan that has a limited number of uses. It’s pretty, the brushed glossy finish is attractive. It’s easy to clean. The pan handle is riveted on and the pan handle design is well-thought out in terms of shape and is very comfortable. The pan has a nice pour-spout that actually works. There are etched measurement guides inside the pan. The lid is glass see-through with a steam vent that also sports a really nice handle (an actual handle, not a screw-on knob that eventually gets loose.) The lid has a very nice, deep drainage ring with 2 sizes of drain holes, small and large. I normally cook just for one so I grab this pan constantly.

RUSTING after 4 months (Good Seller Edit)
Edit: It has been a pleasure working with this seller so I wanted to update my review. The issue with the handles has been addressed and I really do love the pans and use them everyday. I wanted pans that were NOT non-stick and these cook evenly and I have very little issues with sticking and they clean well.Hi, not sure how to address this other than through the review process. I purchased 2 pots and love them but …. the handles have started to get rust marks on them in the texture pattern of the metal. Also the handle on the lid has a rusting nut/bolt. I usually hand wash them but my husband may have put them in the washer once. I expected them to handle regular use for longer than 4 months.

I like it. Steaming takes a bit longer than boiling the hell out of something but probably preserves the nutrients. I also use the pot and lid without the steamer tray for making soups etc. Good size for 1-2 for vegetables / at least 3 portions of soup or stew.It has become a bit stained but that might be to do with the water and chucking it in the dishwasher. The packaging was quite something and very good marketing – made you think you were getting something special.

It’s a pot. It holds water/food while getting heated from an element below–I think it’d be hard to screw this up. So I hesitated to spend as much as this costs, but it feels premium in ways that I think justifies it. The metal has a pale platinum sheen to it, that I think looks really nice. It’s thoughtfully designed, including with the neat engraved volume measurements. And even though it shouldn’t matter, the packaging that it comes in also feels quite premium, which also inspires confidence in the quality of the product. As for how easy it is to clean, I’d really hesitate to use it for anything other than boiling stuff in water (pasta is primarily what I got it for). But soap, water and elbow grease can always do the job no matter how much of a mess you make, and you don’t have to worry about being gentle with it the way you do with non-stick coatings.

This is a nice multi-use pan and the quality of all three parts is decent.I did not find the steaming configuration to be ideal for steaming. I believe the issue is with the pouring edge, which lets you use the strainer that is built-in to the rim of the lid to strain contents without removing the lid. Because of the gap, a lot of steam escapes before it reaches the steaming basket. I was finding that vegetables did not steam as quickly as I would expect, having used other steaming baskets. As I did not have much use for that straining feature but use it regularly for steaming, I replaced the pot with another one that the basket and lid fit equally well but which did not have a pouring edge (Winco SSSP-4 for reference) and this largely solved the problem. But, this only works if you do not need the straining feature, because with the Winco having a straight edge all around the pot it will not allow you to strain contents using the rim of the lid.
