Best knife for sourdough
This knife is a game-changer for sourdough. Cutting through my loaves used to be a struggle with serrated knives, but now itâs as smooth as butter. Perfect, effortless slices every time!

Great for bread slicing
Pretty decent bread knife. It has a nice natural wood handle with a short cord. It has a great appearance so hanging it in the kitchen makes the most sense. The blade has screws in order to take it off the wood handle for any reason. They kindly added a small screwdriver as well as a couple of extra screws. It slices up bread nicely and keeps me from squishing most of the loaf. It has a nice appropriate length- standard compared to most bread knives as far as I’ve seen. The natural wood is quite neutral in matching any kitchen as well as being a classic, natural, traditional stye. These are the best qualities of it. The wood appears to be sealed but I wouldn’t soak it in any water -sealed or not. I think the overall quality of appearance would make it a nice gift for someone who bakes their bread or has a love of slicing their own. The ability of removing the actual blade and washing it is very helpful however some might argue it’s a little time consuming by having to screw it on and off -but if you’re using it strictly for bread you’re likely not going to need to do that often if at all. I like the natural design to it a lot and that’s what drew me in initially. It seems durable and I don’t expect it to break or degrade for a long time.

Game changer!
I have been making sourdough bread for many years, and sort of just thought I was terrible at cutting even slices. Well now I see it was my knife! I thought I had a good bread knife, but turns out I did not. When this first came I was like, holy giant knife! But after the first slice, I was sold. So smooth and I have never been able to get thin slices like that before. I can’t say if it is the big size, the actual blade, which has fairly large serrations, or the angle, but it works. I have seen these knives pop up with sourdough being everywhere now and always thought they were to look fancy cutting bread, but I do think it’s worth it, and for the price, it’s a no brainer. It came with a blade protector, which I keep over it in the drawer. It also came with a tiny screwdriver and screws in case of blade issues I guess.One thing to note is that to get all the way through the bread, I was sort of gashing my cutting board, but once I figured it out more and rotated the bread slightly at the end of each cut, that stopped, so just get a feel for it.I can’t speak to its longevity or how long it will be sharp etc. But for now I highly recommend.

Sharp!
I used this to slice a hard baguette last night and it sliced easily, much better than the bread knife that was included in my stainless knife set. The wood is a nice, natural color, however I do have concerns that it could stain over time. One work of caution- the blade truly is sharp. I managed to cut myself and it was one of those very quick accidents but the cut was deeper than expected for the very light pressure I was using. I’m glad that the blade includes a shield. Fits upright in my shallow utensil drawer, but there isn’t much room to spare. The knife includes a screw driver so the blade can be turned if you cut left handed. I ordered this after using my daughter’s bow knife and have to say that a knife like this allows you to slice nice even slices as thick or as thin as you want.

Out of the world experience!
Using this bread knife changed the whole world for me. I now understand the meaning of “Best thing since sliced bread” lol! This is a VERY sharp knife that cut this sourdough bread in air, not kidding! Using it is very simple, just a couple sawing motions and you get yourself perfectly sliced bread within minutes. The only thing thats a little difficult is that when you are going towards the bottom of the bread, you have to hold the bread in air or cut the bread on a heighted platform so the blade can fully go through top to bottom. Not a big deal at all since it literally cuts bread in mid air.Overall, truly happy with this knife and would recommend 100%.Disclosure: I ordered this item through the Amazon Vine program and I have done my best to provide an honest unbiased review.How I rate the products-5 Stars = Exceeded my expectations.
