After a spaghetti sauce mishap, my wife was cleaning the microwave when the glass plate accidentally fell onto the ceramic tile, shattering into about 20 pieces. I looked around for a budget-friendly replacement and found this one. It fits the microwave perfectlyâmaybe even a little bigger than the original. It’s great quality, and it’s comforting to know that if we break it again, we can easily get another with Amazon Prime.

Turntable plate does NOT Rotate. Center triangle piece does not fit well enough.
This product is an attempt to replace an OEM glass turntable plate from a GE Space Maker (XL1800) undermounted microwave. This option is def’ly less costly than its OEM replacement, but though it FITS, as in not too wide and fits inside the well for the plate insert itself, the fit is NOT good enough actually to ROTATE the plate for even heat distribution while cooking, reheating. Thus: FAIL!**Turntable plate does NOT Rotate. Center triangle piece does not fit well enough to preserve this function.**This plate is nominally better, more attractive, than my own workaround that I used for months, which was an inverted large Pyrex glass bowl (Pyrex is borosilicate glass, with silica and boron trioxide for strength and heat tolerance). I used a SILICON potholder (~500° threshold) between that bowl and the item I wanted reheated or cooked. Using that Pyrex bowl reduced the height available for jars or large cups. Otherwise, no gains.I will keep this for now, even as I keep my eyes open at the thrift shops for the cost-effective real deal.
