We eat a lot of salads and when I put the salad on a plate, the lip on the dishes is perfect. I also like dishes like spaghetti and noodles on these dishes. The little lip on the edge just makes me feel the food on the dishes will not fall off when passed to the person they are going to. I have used them many times in the dishwasher and misrowave with no problems.

I am a big lover of diner nostalgia, and these pink and white dishes make me very happy. The bowls are perfect for cereal, better yet for chili, and look amazong when served on top of the smaller plates. Beware though that they are seriously inclined to slide when carried on those plates, so beware! The larger plates are quite big and the lip ensures you can put saucy dishes on it without worry. I love these dishes for casual fare – takes me back to those colourful diners of days past. And that makes eating so much more fun!
