I absolutely love this thing! I have a regular bread knife and I was ALWAYS cutting the bread at an angle somehow, no matter how hard I tried not to. Then when my wife got into making sourdough, I could not even cut through the bottom of her first loaf, so I ordered this thing. It works like a charm and absolutely cuts through the bread no problem. You actually have to be a little careful, because I definitely dug some gouges in my cutting board with this baby. Cleanup is a breeze, and the cover for the blade is a nice touch. She has only use the scoring tool a little bit so I can’t comment much on that, but the blades are definitely sharp and it was a nice added bonus, but the knife is the star of the show. 10/10!

This knife cut through my sourdough loaf with ease! I made a load earlier this morning and waited for this to arrive to test it. The bread was a few hours old and had a good crunch crust to it, but not rock hard.The knife is quality made and came with tools to replace the blade. It does not come with a replacement blade and I am unsure that it can be sharpened the way the ridges are in the blade. Comes with a plastic blade cover. I think that was intended for shipping purposes but it also can be reused to keep the blade coveredI didn’t try the lame that was included and I am unsure how to assemble it. No instructions included for it.This set comes with a linen/cotton storage bag.Lastly, the wood is beautiful!

Nice set: attractive, works well
The knife itself is sharp, looks nice and feels good holding it. It has a cloth storage bag, which is a nice touch. The blade came pre-assembled and but it also included a little screwdriver and a couple of extra screws.Also included is a scoring tool. It’s a standard scoring tool, but these things scare me a little, they use thin old school razor blades (a pack of extra blades is also included). It would be so easy to give yourself a nasty slice while installing the blade onto the tool — but if you look at baking videos online a lot of people use this exact tool, so I guess it’s what bakers like.There were no instructions (or other written material) included. Of course, how to use the knife is pretty obvious, but without some instructions some people may not have a clue what the scoring tool and razor blades are all about.

Works well on Sourdough bread
This bread knife actually feels comfortable to hold. Good balance and excellent cutting cotrol. The blade is surprisingly sharp do be careful. Thatâs a good thing. If you use the wooden edge as a guide, you get a nice thick slice of bread that is cut straight.The handle is made Iâd a nice quality hardwood that is nicely shaped with a natural finish.The only drawback is that the blade is set exactly even with the bottom of the handle that usually wonât cut completely through the bottom crust, leaving you no choice but to âpullâ the slice off the rest of the loaf.I solved this issue myself by simply removing the two screws holding the blade to the handle. I then drilled two 1/16th inch holes 1/16th inch below the existing holes. Then screwed the blade back on using the new holes I made in the handle. This lowered the blade 1/16th inch and solved the problem. It now cuts completely through the bread. My wife and I both love this knife now.

Well made and safe for bread cutting
Iâm really loving this bread knife. I remember seeing one of these at an art fair years ago. Itâs so different looking and thatâs what appeals to me. Feels like itâs made out of real wood. Itâs surprisingly light weight and sturdy. The blade is incredibly sharp. Be careful. It slices through bread effortlessly. It comes with a screwdriver as the 2 screws holding the blade will loosen over time. It also comes with a packet of double edged blades used to score the bread if making it at home from scratch. The contraption is not easy to use. Iâd rather just use a traditional knife.

This kit is perfect for baking your own bread. I’m a sucker for cute kitchen items, and this bread knife is no exception. It’s cute and makes cutting up home made bread a little more fun. It’s easy to grip without slipping and slices up bread easily.

Great knife, not really sure what the other tool are for
This is a great knife. It cuts bread really well. However, there is another tool that confuses me. They are calling it a bread lame. It is basically a handle with a piece of metal sticking out the end and you put a razor blade on the end of the piece of metal. It looks like they are using it to cut the top of dough, but the razor blade ends up curved. Anyway, They also mention this set comes with a silicone cover for the bread knife blade. It is not silicone. It is plastic. Personally this is probably a little better because plastic is firmer and it is easier to recover the blade with something firm instead of soft.I suggest the person who has written this listing have a proofreader or someone who’s first language is English check for grammatical errors. It sounds like someone who’s first language is not English wrote it. I do not mean this in a mean way. I am only trying to give constructive criticism.silicone blade protector x1,
