Only Takes 10 Minutes (or less)
Best $0.99 and 10 minutes I ever spend 🙂 Creating the 3D Object in this book truly only takes about ten minutes from start to finish! The steps outlined in this book were my first exposure to creating an object in Blender, I haven’t even opened a Blender tutorial file. The explanations John Think provides are easy to follow and allow for quick and easy development (from scratch) of a basic 3D object. If you’re brand-spanking new to Blender, I highly recommend this book!

I’m torn on this one…
I’m torn on this,On the negative side, you create a single chess piece. that’s it, and it’s not the one shown on the cover, it’s simpler than that.Yes it’s only $1, but it’s sooo simple, that even for a dollar, you reach the end of the book and are like “WTH?”What’s really disappointing is that the author has a great instructional style, he tells you exactly what you need to know at each step. It’s a style that you hope will go on for at least 50 pages, not 17.It starts out great where you build the base from a cylinder then extend it upwards. You shape the cylinder to be more narrow the further up you go.Then you add a ball to the scene and position it so that it looks like it’s part of what you created.- There is no discussion on how to actually get the ball ‘merged’ with the base so that you have a single object.- The rim shown in the picture is left off in the bookOverall, I like the approach of a $0.99 book, and I love this author’s writing style, I just wish he’d gone a bit farther.

Write More Please, Too Short
OK for a 10 minute example, and for 99 cents, but keep going and write a bigger book please in 10 minute sections and cover more ground

EZ Say To Start Learning Blender
Clear and easy step by step until you have created a pawn. The images help you visualize each stage.

A bare introduction to Blender, with Blender changing so …
A bare introduction to Blender, with Blender changing so often no one can come up with a viable introduction to Blender. If Blender has a fault it’s the fact that there are so many versions, no two alike.

It’s worth your 10 minutes.
This is actually pretty useful. I’m starting to teach myself Blender from online tutorials and some other sources, and I’d recommend doing so either before or after you read this book (or both, in my case). It’s not comprehensive at all – of course, it’s not supposed to be – but it provides some quick and clear instructions for some of the basics. It helped me understand the difference between Object Mode and Edit Mode, for one thing. Hey, give it a try. At the most you’ll just have 10 minutes to lose, right? 🙂

Pretty much worthless
I was very disappointed It was only 99 cents and not worth a penny of it!

This is a pamphlet it will not take you 10 minutes to read. It describes creating and deforming a cylinder and adding a sphere using the very basic tools. It is 9 very short pages with screen shots.I opened it in kindle on iOS and the screenshots can be zoomed in to make them readable this doesnât work on a kindle where the greyscale doesnât help either.

Easy and to the point. This book may sounds like a joke but, for me, at least, itâs not.You could argue that Googling this takes 10 minutes, but I tend to respectfully disagree : itâs more like 30 minutes to sort the wheat from the chaff.I charge my customers, for 30 mins of my time, much more than the price of this book.Enough written!

Cumple literalmente con lo prometido. Paso a Paso probaras las primeras ordenes o moverte en Blender y lograras hacer un diseño basico. Muy bueno

This book is fast paced. If you follow the steps you will learn. I recommend this book. Short version and sweet

This was a short book that accomplished nicely what it said it would do except that the author forgot to show how to join the shapes he assembled. So at the end he left out a cruicial step to make all the parts into one piece. You can learn a lot more and in as short a time by going to Youtube.
