I needed one specifically for cutting pasta and pastry dough. This one will do that and possibly more. The quality is on the better side and I’m sure with proper care and cleaning, it will last longer than others. The markings (measurements) are nice and may come in handy. But I suspect when covered with flour and dough will be difficult to use/see. The width is pretty much standard, and the blade is thick enough to withstand hard use. The blade’s edge is obviously sharper so as to cut through cooked dough (pizza, etc.). Nice to have, useable, functional, practical, excellent tool to have in one’s cooking drawer. If you have it you will most likely use it and you won’t be disappointed.
