Great knife
This knife is great. Itâs super sharp and allows us to cut our bread into very thin slices easily

Incredibly sharp and sturdy
This knife. Wow. Iâm in love. Okay itâs just a knife, but when you have spent years using a knife that shreds its way like a saw through your morning bagel leaving crumbs everywhere, and then use a knife that glides practically by itself leaving no sign of crumbs, you can see why you might fall in love. This is an incredibly sharp and solid knife. The handle fits comfortably in your hand. It has some heft but is not too heavy. Itâs a beautiful knife that will probably last the rest of my life.I read tons of reviews about bread knives all over the internet and why people recommend various ones. At first I was looking for a left handed one, but they are rare. This company had one but the reviews were few and not as positive as the ones for the right handed knife. So I took a chance. It was the right choice. Cuts beautifully with either hand. Did I mention that I love this knife?

Makes the Cut
Owning a bad knife is not only frustrating, but also dangerous. When my cheap bread knife’s plastic handle broke I was lucky to avoid injury. I’ve got some high end knives made by companies such as Case, but even though I wasn’t familiar with Mercer knives, I took a chance on this one and was delighted with my choice. I would have to rank this as one of the best kitchen knives I’ve ever used and would say this knife is easily restaurant quality. It slices effortlessly through bread and sandwiches and I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it.

Super sharp and well balanced
This knife is fairly inexpensive compared to many high quality knives and performs just as well. My first Mercer knife I owned was while I was attending the Le Cordon Bleu Academy of Culinary Arts. I love the spongy grip that the Genesis line. This knife works great on other items also, not just bread – try it on soft fruits like tomatoes.

Very sharp. Cuts well.
Needed a bread knife to slice loaves that are no longer sliced in-store due to Pandemic. I was pleased with the knife from the start. It cuts bread easily, and comfortable and stable in the hand. So far, I like the knife a lot. I just received the sleeve today. Sturdy enough. The knife in a drawer without a cover is dangerous. In a block or wall magnet probably ok though. Good knife and happy with my purchase.

Great bread knife
Like many people, I started making sourdough bread during the quarantine. My old bread knife was dull, and it couldn’t handle the more substantial crust. We couldn’t cut thin slices, and it was tearing the bread. This knife is fantastic. It goes through the bread like butter. I can cut paper thin slices if I wanted to. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Definitely buy a guard for the blade to keep it sharp and safe.

Affordable top quality
I bought this serrated knife to replace a French serrated knife I used for 40 years. Boy do I love this Mercer knife. Perfect extension of my own hand. The grip is comfortable. The ease of slicing a big boule of sourdough bread was smooth and effortless. I own other Mercer knives too – an excellent value you can count on.

New favorite brand
I took a chance on this brand as I didn’t want to pay the high cost of a German made Wusthof brand knife since I don’t use a bread knife very often. The comfortable handle shape resembles the Wusthof design. This Taiwan made knife has a German high-carbon steel blade. It is super sharp, sturdy and I am super happy with how it performs. This is now my favorite brand when I want a great knife without paying Wusthof prices.

I bought this bread knife in 2018 and we use it daily with heavy homemade brown bread and six years later itâs still razor sharp. Very good quality!!

The mercer is much sharper than the bread knife that it replaced. The blade is relatively thin. It slices sour dough and sandwich bread easily. I also use it to slice tomatoes thinly for sandwiches
CHARM VANDEN EYNDEN –
It sits well in the hand and slices nicely without tearing the bread. I like that it has a full tang, as my last knife came apart from the handle. For a fairly low priced knife I am impressed.
Rose –
Just get it. I can cut slices as thin as 2-3mm., love it. Would be nice if it came with a sleeve.

A quality knife at a nice price.
