The problem with most grates, it is difficult to use them with the item to be grated. If the grater is too large, it is difficult to hod in the right position. This one is small enough to work with one hand, and light enough. It is almost a joy to use.TIP: Try putting cellophane over a small bowl, and grate over the cellophane. It catches most all of the gratings and it is easier to move from the bowl to the food item.

Lots of lies in this description. I searched for a grater that claimed to be durable. The description says, “durable construction,” “Premier quality tool,” “Heavy quality stainless steel,” “sturdy, long-lasting and reinforced with a frame to make sure the grater doesnât bend during use.” None of this is true.It’s bending with the first grated cheddar and it clearly less heavy quality than the cheap ones I wanted to replace.

Good design, Crap Quality
This is nearly exactly what we want. But the quality is terrible. A couple of sub-millimeter tack-spot welds hold the whole thing together. The best glues can’t save it.We liked it a lot until it came apart into pieces in my hand after a few months. Looking at the pieces, it’s obvious that the handle is machine-welded with the weakest possible weld. The sides are equally well attached.If you need a decent hand-paddle grater for about 20 hours of use, this will probably serve. Our last similar item lasted 15 years. This one lasted a few months. We do not machine wash, we don’t mishandle the equipment. But it saw 24 days a month use for a few months and then disintegrated and the evidence was clear.Built to fail.

Sent it back. It’s got three different graters on this handle fine, slices, medium grater not as shown. Hope they fixed this!
