Hard to pick up smaller pieces of food
I ordered these tongs because Iâve been frequently replacing my old tongs over the past few years. Although the previous tongs were affordable and unbranded, the tips kept slipping off and falling into the food while I was using them, which meant I had to constantly fish them out of the food to reposition them back. I hoped these new tongs, which are a single piece with sturdy rubber on each side, would solve that problem. However, they are not very user-friendly. When I fried shrimp, I struggled to grasp and scoop each piece of shrimp to turn it over, which was challenging given the need to avoid overcooking. The tongs donât seem to be ergonomically designed for handling smaller pieces of food. Additionally, because the rubber is attached around the tips and attaches to the metal at angles, food and dirt can get trapped around the edges easily. If not washed promptly, they will require thorough scraping and cleaning to remove all the unwanted dirt, food and etc. I might keep these tongs for now, but Iâm considering investing in a higher-quality pair in the future.

I love these tongs! Easy to use, and feel good to use, and it’s a break from the traditional kitchen tongs we all know. Though to be truthful I’ve only used these to take out items out o the oven or flip some ribs during cooking. Haven’t tested their durability to hot oil. Since it’s silicone tipped I have no worries about using them in hot oil.
