Blade is a bit large
These have a very comfortable handle and good shape overall. The forged blades have a nice weight and balance. I feel the blade at 5″ is about 1/2″ longer than a steak knife should be. The extra length makes them a little unwieldy when trying to do delicate work around a bone. They arrived sharp and should be easy to sharpen. I’ve been using some Henckels serrated steak knives which after years of use have become uselessly dull. I looked at new Henckels but these cost half as much and look to be every bit as well made.

Sharp in form and function
Filling out my knife set with these steaks knives. They are very pleasant to hold, well made and solid. They do come sharp out of the box. I haven’t had to sharpen these yet but my other Messermeister knives take an edge beautifully. Very happy to have a a complete set.

Great knives, but rust stains after first time in dishwasher…
The size, feel, appearance and sharpness of the knifes are excellent. Unfortunately though, the blades had rust stains after the first run through the dishwasher. I do not see anything in the materials about these needing to be hand washed. We planned to buy another set, but are not now given the rust issue…

Outstanding Steaknife, the sharpest Iâve ever had. It is well-balanced to hold in your hand. I purchased the black handle, which is smooth and beautiful. No rust, no problems. I treat the knives like I treat all my expensive good-quality knives. I wash by hand. Dry them with a towel. It is the only way to take care of good knives. Worth the money!

Good quality, good price
I read reviews for top steak knives from several places like NYT and Serious Eats. This was the top rated knife, regardless of price. So I went for it and they were right. A great value.

Good, but neither in quality or price the equivalent to the German-made product.
Not as sharp out of the box as claimed in the review. However, these steak knives, after a little work with a whetstone, make short work of a t-bone and rib steak. They handled a chicken easily. The price of this set makes it well worth it at under $13.00 per piece. They are not the equal of the Messermeister knives made in Germany, but at 1/3 the cost, theyâre good.
