Pay attention to dimensions and style
This Kitchen Aid dish drainer is of excellent quality- sturdy, well-made, and attractive. It fits perfectly in the small side of my double kitchen sink with room to use the side holders with narrow width cups or glasses. As I was looking at the Kitchen Aid choices, two models appeared very, very similar on several different websites. This model on Amazon is called âWrap Compact.â The âCompactâ choice had a slightly larger depth measurement and would not have fit in the sink. Using precise measuring is important since most double sink have slightly curved bowls that are a bit narrower at the base. The dish rack is small, but functional. By using the drainboard on the counter instead of in the sink, I can use the drainboard as a place for those larger items or bowls that donât seem to fit well in the dish slots, and it sits nicely behind the cup holders when it is not being used. Overall, a great product that should be far more durable than the ancient Rubbermaid one it replaced. I found it impossible to find color choices in the Rubbermaid models, and the drainboard is sold separately, so this actually was fairly close in price to a Rubbermaid two-piece order. Glad I took the time to research the options!

Good value
This is a very sturdy well made dish drainer. The overall dimensions are 12.5″ wide by 16″ long by 6.5″ tall. The usable space in the basket with the silverware drainer installed is 12″ x 12″. It has saved me space on my counter top by replacing my old fashioned larger wire type dish drainer. My kitchen is small and I am single so it holds just the right amount of dishes for me from day to day. (I do have a dishwasher that I use once a week). It drains well and the drain pan is easily removable for cleaning. The rubber tips on the glass holders are removable as shown.The silverware holder is removable to the outside of the drainer for more room but then it will drain onto the countertop which would make no sense. There is a larger model than this one available if you need more room but either way this is a quality unit that I am very happy with.

The upper organizer is top notch, but the grey plastic base won’t age well
Excellent use of space, this is exactly what I was looking for in a small footprint dish rack. However, the soft plastic base is somewhat of a design failure – water condenses underneath, and it never fully dries because the slant is not agressive enough. Even if you raise the tail end by 1/4 inch, the water drips won’t drain. This soft gray plastic is too porous; they should have used stainless steel or a hard plastic for the base.I have a feeling the base will mold easily, unless you clean it every 3-4 weeks :/

This is well made, and works well. I would recommend for 1-2 people or if you want to minimize kitchen counter space. If you have more people or entertain friends, it’s bit too small. For myself, it was fine as I don’t want a big rack over my countertop. It’s made of stainless steel and good weight so stacking dishes won’t flip the rack. Cup holders are good for mugs/cups but I will be careful with coffee/tea cups as it doesn’t hold tight. You also need to be careful with wineglasses or any glass cups as it will be on the edge near the front where you will wash the dishes, and can easily accidently hit them. The water drips but not completely, however, the tray can easily slide off without lifting the rack so not a problem. All in all, reasonable price, and you get the assurance and guarantee from Kitchen Aid in case something goes wrong.

I needed a new dish drainer but I wasn’t sure what kind to have. I’ve got a dishwasher so it would only be for a few things at a time. This drainer is absolutely brilliant! It’s sturdy, doesn’t slide about on the sink, holds quite a lot actually and is very easily wiped clean. I thought that I’d never use the grey tabs? for putting cups etc on to drop but actually I do. They are great for hanging smaller things like the little jug we use at breakfast time. All in all, I can honestly say that this is THE BEST looking and practical dish drainer I’ve had in my 50+ years!
