My Favorite Cooking Utensil
Tongs to me are like American chopsticks, but of course far easier to use. It is the most often used cooking utensil for me, regardless of if I am cooking in the kitchen, grilling, smoking, etc.The ability to grab small and large items, serve pasta, arrange items, turn things, mix, etc., is just priceless. As a welcome gift or to help someone starting to cook I almost always buy them All Clad tongs. Once they use it and understand the functionality they become hooked. The one drawback of the All Clad tongs is sometimes the lock at the hinge engages when you don’t want it to engage, but the shape, quality, and function of these tongs are excellent.Tongs and spatula are my most used utensils and if I go traveling and plan on doing some cooking or grilling, these tongs are always packed to go with me. It is pretty funny how many places don’t have or don’t use tongs. I’m a food network fan and after seeing most of them using tongs I tried it out and never looked back.

Top Quality
Bigger than I thought they’d be and a tad on the heavy side. That’s the offset to high-grade stainless steel. I’ll buy the smaller version. If you want tongs where dirt can’t hide, these are perfect.

Perfect again
All clad never steers me wrong. These are great and high quality. Heavy, easy to lock and unlock, and perfectly balanced. Love them.

Super Nice- Doesn’t Grip well
I love All-Clad products. These tongs are very high quality, heavy and beautiful and easy to clean. My one complaint is that they don’t grip the food well. I used them out on my grill and the steaks kept slipping off because the ends are not designed with deep enough teeth. This makes them easy to clean, but I almost lost a steak due to the lack of good gripping capability. If I could give a 3.5 star I would, because I still think they are a beautiful product.

Fell apart at first use!
Edit: After 12 months of use the spring started rusting and flaking off its coating. That’s something I could not find a standalone e replacement for, and I would rather not eat random flakes of coating. Reached out to All-Clad support, who agreed to replace, but they never sent the replacement. TL:DR – would not buy again. The awkward locking action other reviews have mentioned is because of the poorly implemented forward pivot. Its welded together and not exactly circular. No excuse for such poor quality at this price point. The rivet (which was already bent) at the pivot fell apart on the first test clamping. Looks like I’ll have to replace it before using. To fix the aft pin, which supports the spring, you’ll need a trip to a hardware store and ~$16 (I used Mcmaster):1.) 3/4″ long, 3/16″ diameter binding barrel (stainless). One that accepted a 6-32 threaded fastener worked for me.2.) 6-32 fastener, 5/8″ long (stainless).3.) ~.197″ ID / ~.028″ OD / .~015″ thick PTFE washer. You’ll need two, one for each side.4.) Threadlock. I used Loctite 263. Try and find one that is food safe.Tools:1.) Drill, a 3/16″ drill bit, and a countersink bit to clean up rough edges.2.) Vice grips to compress the spring. It wont go far enough back to put the aft pin in unless you compress.3.) A small hand press was useful to push through the last of the stack up.

Solidâ¦and heavy duty
Husband bought these for me because the rings we had would bend when being used in helping to pick up heavier things like roast or boiler chicken, etc. these ones definitely wonât bend. However, I do have earlier stages of arthritis and these are pretty hard to maneuver. Not the companies fault! Just adding that in there for anyone else with arthritis. Itâs to the point that I cantât really use them. But my husband can and loves them.Id recommend these for anyone looking for nice solid tongs!

These tongs maintain AllClad’s quality and feel, even though they are manufactured in China. Simple and effect, nice heft without being heavy. Should last for years.

Solid piece of equipment. Have purchased many lighter weight cheaper tongs in the past and they have all fell apart and ended up in the bin. These tongs are made to last and you don’t even have to fiddle to unlock them, just hold them vertically in either direction and the will unlock and lock without touching the locking mechanism. They take a little getting used to because they aren’t feather weight. They don’t open as far as some other tongs and that is the only slight negative.

Très beau produit, arrivé dans les temps.

They are the most heavy duty and over the top tongs I have ever seen. They are heavy with thick Stainless Steel and a hinge that will outlast me. They’re almost seem too good to use for fear of dirtying them. Good tongs, but your paying for them. Heavier then your thinking.
