Cooks consistently
Use this every week to make soups, stews, chilis, pulled pork, and roasts. Does a great job. I couldnât work full time and serve homemade meals to my family without this. Love the large size. Itâs easy to clean because you can pull the ceramic crock out and put it right in the sink. Itâs sturdy..can go from the fridge to the heating element and back again with no problem.

Slo Cooker
I love this cooker! I’m looking forward to using the Sous Vide feature but all the other aspects of the cooker are great, easy to use and effective. I especially appreciate the sealing feature. Previously I had tried to use the cooker with the iron pot, it was/is so heavy and so slow I really don’t like using it.

A complete kit for Sous Vide cooking
I bought this mostly for sous vide cooking. I tested it using my own thermometer, and it keeps the temperature very accurately (+/- 1 degree) with the lid on. Instead of separate units for the heating unit, Sous Vide plastic container and lid, and insulator, this one unit replaces all that, and at a fraction of the cost! Only 2 downside: a) it is not as powerful as handheld Sous Vide units, so you have to pre-heat your water, b) it is a large slow cooker, so it can be heavy. But I love it because it is also a good size slow cooker!

Works as described
This product has been perfect as a crockpot.Pros:More powerful than some and many of my recipes on low, so adjust your times accordingly.Temperature control works great on roast or when we are trying not to overcook any meats or even squash. There is one primary spot for the gage, but several other spots you can use so you can get the correct placement.Sous vide is a nice feature, although the water does not swirl (obviously).Locking lid with rubber seal is very nice, especially for travel.Cons:No delay timer. When I plan on having food ready after work, I am forced to lower the cook time down even more since it is likely going to sit on warm for a while. No medium heat. I feel the lack of a medium setting on the crockpot portion led them to make the low a bit too high in temperature.Overall a great piece of kitchen equipment, and for this price point, you really canât go wrong.

Upgraded to 7 Quart Slow Cooker With Bells and Whistles
I have been using a small 3 quart Crockpot slow cooker since 1979 to make a small pot roast. More recently I used a 6 quart electric pressure cooker but I did not think the pot roast was quite as tender unless I cooked it twice. This 7 quart slow cooker allowed me to cook a large pot roast for 8 hours which was fall apart tender. The 7 quart ceramic pot has the same good quality as my 1979 crockpot, heavy and well glazed. I am looking forward to trying the temperature probe for cooking or the sous-vide features which were not even available in the 1970s.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t cook food.
I ordered this after my crockpot cracked over the holidays, and was super excited about it. I really like the look and design on this one and was really excited to use it. The first couple of uses it seemed to be great, and unlike my other slow-cookers it actually seemed to cook at different temperatures.Well, I was wrong. I’ve had multiple dishes not cook now. I attempted a pork tenderloin twice on low and high, and they came out super tough and just barely cooked – but super tender and falling apart in my 2nd crockpot. Yesterday, I attempted a beef barbacoa, and it was still not done after 7 hours on low and 2 hours on high! The liquid never even started to simmer on high.I had high hopes for this pot, but I guess I’m just out the money now. I rarely write negative reviews, but I wish I would have listened to the other 1 star reviews here that mention the same thing. I don’t think the item can get hot enough or sustain high temperatures. If you just want to sous vide things, it might be okay. But this is not a good slow cooker.

Works great
I use the temperature probe extensively. It’s very easy to overcook meat in a slow cooker.

Works as it should, will try the sous-vide function soon. When first plugged in, it had a really strong industrial smell. I noticed it right away , chopped up two apples and some cinnamon sticks and plugged it in, outside on the porch. I let it heat and gas off for a few hours and then it was fine. No further odor.Update : Used the sous-vide function twice now since buying it. No regrets. It worked on a seriously tough roast cut into 2″ thick steaks. The spice rub I made was a bit salty but texture of the meat when done was great. Cooking meat at 140 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours seemed mighty strange but the results were worth the effort. Keep notes. I found suggested cooking times could be likely be reduced. I did not sear the meat first and allowed the sealed packages to cool before opening to redistribute the juices produced while cooking. I’m not running a restaurant so I can’t compare it to a commercial unit, but it worked well and the temp control for regular slow cooking use is definitely a plus.
