Where do I even begin. We were looking for a portable option to have meals / tailgates on the go. In doing research we came across the Pesto Nomad series of slow cookers. After reading some reviews we purchased on and started using it. This cooker is awesome.Features we loveLocking lid with the handleInsulatedDrip container on the back of cookerEasy cleanThe dry erase board on the frontWe have used this cooker multiple times and it has worked flawlessly. Our kids are in travel sports. We spend way too much time at sports complexes. We were tired of living off concession stand food. This cooker is being used to make team lunch or dinner. How do we accomplish this task?I generally prep everything the night before we leave. When we wake up of a morning, I get everything in the cooker at the house and turn it one while we get ready. When we leave, we move the cooker to the car. Remember this is a 120v cooker and probably will draw more watts than what your car outlet will provide. It uses about 250 watts on high. We use a battery generator (Bluetti brand) to power the nomad in the car. The food will finish cooking while we drive and play the first few games of the day.When we get a break in the schedule we tailgate in the parking lot with the them. All the players and parents are appreciative of the real food and not concessions again.Meals that we have made on the go.Walking tacos (tacos in a bag)Pulled Pork sandwichesChiliItalian BeefChicken Noodles soupetcThe Nomad will heat until about 200 degrees Fahrenheit then cycle off and back on as needed. Depending on what you have inside this can take sometime to reach that temperature.The Pesto Nomad is sturdy, convenient for travel, easy to clean, and is now one of our favorite cooking devices. Genius product doesnât overheat like other slow cookers
I was really frustrated when my Hamilton Beach brand and my crockpot brand slow cooker I tried, donât really slow cook. They just take longer to get to the same maximum temperature which seems to be about boiling. This product does not seem to have that problem. It usually gets to about 189° and stops on both the low and high settings. There are so many genius features about this thing I love. The seal is great. Itâs so easy to bring to potluck, etc.. The whiteboard lets you write whatâs in it. You donât have to figure out where to put the lid the little container that the condensation drips into is genius and easy to clean and doesnât stick out in the back. The container is metal with sort of a black, shiny coating of something on it. It doesnât easily break like porcelain. It doesnât have a timer which I love.!!! it doesnât have a ton of electronics, which I love!!! itâs a great size. It fits in store as well because itâs square. It has good insulator properties so it doesnât make your kitchen hot while youâre cooking with it. You can cook with the handle, forcing the lid down in the upright position or you can fold it back for less heat. Ultimately, Iâm so glad I bought this thing. It is so much better than classic slow cookers.

Great for travel parents!
This crockpot has been a game changer for us as we have 2 very active kids that travel for sports. Even the kids love it too because they no longer have to eat cold sandwiches and can have a warm meal on the go. Easy to clean and love that it has a spot in the back to collect the water from the lid. That was one of the reasons I hated trying to use our regular crockpot on the go, the water mess!The lid seals really well and we have had zero issues with leaks and the size is perfect for our family of 5.It even worked really well to do ham sliders in it, I just used foil and layered the sandwiches in it, they were not soggy at all!Durable and not incredibly heavy either which is nice too!The cost may be a little high for a crock pot but if you think of they money you are saving at the concession stand, it quickly pays for itself in one weekend!

My wife loves it. Versatility! Cook at home and carry like a cooler is carried to the party, family gathering, or any other away from home event. No spillage of food in your vehicle because of air tight lid lock down air. Arrive at destination and plug it in.
