Yes, I have the traditional knife sharpener, just like my parents had. It seemed to take forever to get just the right sharpness when they used their’s. Not with this sharpener! I just use both sides of it, taking 5 – 10 passes on each side and the blade is so sharp, it cuts cleanly, quickly, and precisely. I’m so happy with it.
