We were looking for a new crockpot because our crockpot brand one would boil on low. Even on warm would be simmering. This one does not do that. It cooks at the right temperatures without boiling and over cooking. Glad we made the switch to Hamilton Beach! It is big and a little heavy though.

Huge!
This crockpot is absolutely huge and works perfectly. This is a permanent fixture on my counter, it’s sleek and durable. The lid fits fine, there’s no leakage, and I’ve used this at least twice a week for 2 months and have had no issues with temperature control or food cooking evenly. One thing to note in case it is important to you, there is not any sound effect or beep when the timer ends, it just automatically switches to warm and starts counting back upwards.

Great slow cooker for roasts, stews, etc.
Bought this slow cooker as a replacement for a very old cooker where the lid handle had broken. This cooker is easy to clean, and works as advertised. My only complaint is that when cooking some foods that may generate a lot of steam, the lid on this cooker can rattle a little as steam escapes on one side. Unfortunately, this can make a big mess, as the sauce or juice of the food spits out a bit. Solved this issue by placing a paper towel slightly under the lip on the edge, allowing the steam to escape without rattling and no spitting. Removed a star for this workaround. Our old cooker did not have this problem.Food tastes great! Took it out of the box, washed it, and cooked a roast. No complaints! No odd smells. Didn’t notice the rattling issue until a few recipes later, cooking a stew. The rattling issue isn’t so bad I’d return this model, but I’ll probably donate this to Goodwill at some point down the road and try a different model or brand. YMMV.

As the title saysâ¦this is all you need. Pass on the WiFi junk that breaks. This crockpot is a UNIT. Itâs perfect in every way for a crockpot. Only thing better is clay pot and glass lid which gets super pricy and I donât even think they make them yet in nearly this size. This crockpot rocks!

This is a good sized unit for making large dinners. It is perfect for families, for those who like lots of leftovers and for others who prefer to freeze amounts for several future dinners. The controls are easy to use and program, the inner part easy to clean (I would let it soak first if necessary) and the stew turned out perfectly cooked. The only thing we noticed was that the outside metal siding got very hot towards the end of the cooking cycle, something we can’t recall for sure happening with our old unit. The manufacturer has addressed this by placing high heat warnings around the unit however. This is actually bigger than our last unit so it was a pleasant surprise. I recommend this product.
