So well made
This pan is great. Its solid and will probably outlive me and then whoever ends up with it after that. I also bought the press/weight by the same company and it’s a winning combination. I only recommend that you prepare for the smokey joy that this pan creates – makes the chicken taste amazing and gave my extraction unit a run for its money. Looking forward to also putting it over a campfire.

Great pan
I bought this pan to specifically cook steak, bacon and fish.It did not disappoint!I put a little oil in it and heated it up. I cooked a steak and it not only tasted great, but looked great. I left it sitting on the stove top. A couple of days later, I fried some bacon. It cooked nice and flat and did not shrink nearly as much as it would have in a nasty non stick pan. I let the grease sit on the stove top in the pan. I cook my fish in the bacon grease to 1. reduce the fishy smell and 2. add a nice flavor to it. My salmon didn’t even stick!Now I need to clean it, after all of that. I discarded the grease, added some hot soapy water and let it soak for about 2 hours. When I went back, it cleaned up with a rag EASILY. I dried it and reseasoned it. It looks like new!Also, another reviewer mentioned that he got the lid (normally $20) ‘used, like new’ for around #11, so I looked and sure enough I got one for $12! Thank you other reviewer!! My guess is people buy it and think it will fit any square pan, but it’s for Victoria pans, just as the description states. It is returned unused and resold.Don’t hesitate to buy this pan!I highly recommend.

Best Grill Pan on the market
This is our second Victoria grill pan that we just purchased from Amazon, and we got this one for our rv. When it got here this week it had some rust on it, nothing to be concerned about, and we took care of it immediately by washing and seasoning it. The photo shows what it looks like after my wife cooked chicken breast in it last night and cleaned it again. The first one we bought back in the mid 2000’s looks just as good as this new one. and still looks that good because of taking care of it.I’ve read all the negative reviews about it having rust on it when people received it. These people must not know anything about cast iron, how to season and protect it. Wash it and season it and the rust goes away. No need to slam Victoria or any other brand because it wasn’t picture perfect when you received it.I’ve also read the negative reviews about it being heavy. It’s cast iron not metal or stainless. The heavier a cast iron pan is the better it’s going to retain heat, hold seasoning better, and cook better. My suggest is, if you don’t like heavy pans then don’t use cast iron. This Victoria grill pan is actually lighter than some of the others on the market.We have many pieces of cast iron cookware and use it on a regular basis. My wife likes the Victoria brand more than any other brand. She has a 12 inch and two 10 inch Victoria cast iron skillets and now two grill pans. They’re deeper, easier to season, and she says easier to handle.Another thing about cast iron cookware, it may or may not sit flat on a smooth and flat cook top. If that bothers you then buy pans that are made to sit flat on those style cook tops.Anything can arrive cracked or broken. 99% of the time it’s the shipper not the maker that caused the crack, so no need to blast the maker with a negative review if you receive one cracked.I personally think for the money, excellent cooking results and ease of maintenance, you can’t go wrong with this grill pan or any other Victoria cast iron cookware.

Used it once, washed with salt and oil after and a chunk of black stuff chipped off. Donât recommend. Cheaply bonded to the iron. Was delivered in a brown Amazon bag no box one handle had busted through the paper. Disappointing.

Works extremely Well with my Pizza Oven
I have nearly replace my full sized oven buy using cast iron items to convert the oven into a great space to sear any vegetables that will fit into the pan and the oven into a heat kissed delicacy. I especially like using those oven grill frozen vegetables packages in this pan in my pizza oven. Just your food, seasonings, very high temperatures sand nothing else added to make great meals.

I was not disappointed.When you receive the pan, I would highly recommend you read the attached helpful instructions and recommendations on how to maintain and care for these amazing cast iron pans, they are a life time investment, worth every penny and maintenance (that is the key)!
