I just donât like microwaving things. It does things the texture, and thereâs always some hot in. Thereâs some cold and itâs just yuck. What I really need is a smaller pot something that I can heat up a small quantity of letâs say chili in. This is really for melting butter, but it is a spectacular sauce, chili, small quantity of just the right thing warmer. Beautifully made, as is most of the all clad stuff.

At half a quart I find it perfect for small amounts of sauce, oatmeal for one (I serve it right in the pot, which is half for the rustic look and half sheer laziness), and roux that I then add to other dishes.Being so small, it can be slightly easy to tip the pot backwards by pressing on the handle. It’s not a big problem but can be a little hazardous when I’m not careful.

Oddly, there are no videos or enough pictures of this product ANYWHERE on the internet… Anyways, I knew 0.5 quarts was small, and was my intended size for sauces and the like. So here are a bunch of photos of exactly that!In terms of the pot itself, it feels very sturdy and well built. Very light to hold, and it is thicc all-around due to the 3 ply layers. Cooking-wise, I wish I got this sooner… Does all the heating I need 2x faster.Only thing to caution is due to the diameter size, it may not fit over your gas stove unless you have the sizing for it.
