Beautiful, well made, perfect condition
This is a beautiful, well made pan of thick cast iron that should work very well for generations of family or people. The enamel coating is beautiful and perfect. It arrived promptly and well packed so that it is in perfect condition. This is a nice size for a variety of uses where the larger pans and Dutch ovens are too large but you still want the thick cast iron features and beauty of enameled cast iron.

Perfect!
I didn’t think we’d use this size very much but got it anyway since we’ve gotten rid of all our Teflon. We seem to use it way more than I anticipated! Seems to be the perfect size for so many things.Good quality (especially at this price), works great and I love the color (orange)!

Enamel chipping
LOVE the size and I use it everyday. But the teal coating is chipping away a lot and Iâve only had it a couple of months.

Beautiful piece of artwork.
I purchased this as much for shelf display than for cooking. It looks great with my enamel-ware collection of different colors.

Small Pot, Almost Perfect
This pot is just the right size for cooking and heating up food for one person. And I love cooking in cast iron. It was hard to find a pot this small. I have two others, a no-stick and a stainless steel one. The Hawok pot is the one I use all the time. My only mini-complaint is that I wish the handle was a tiny bit longer.

Cute little pot
I got this pot in the hope that it would cook rice better than my stainless steel sauce pan. I used to have a cast aluminum pot that was great for rice, but it got lost in a move, and possible replacements I found on line were quite expensive, so I settled for this pot, which at $30 was quite reasonable. It does in fact cook rice well, so I’m pleased with that. It’s very pretty, and unlike some buyers, mine arrived in perfect condition without chips or rust. I gave it only 3 stars for versatility because it is in fact quite small, best for when you’re only cooking for one or 2. And of course, being cast iron, it’s a bit heavy. It’s also a bit high maintenance – you have to be careful not to drop it or the enamel will chip. It’s not non-stick, but they recommended not using scouring materials, or you’d scratch the enamel. The rim of both the pot and lid are exposed iron, so they recommend oiling them to prevent rust. I haven’t done so and haven’t got any rust yet, but I dry it by hand after washing, and I live in a dry climate, so maybe rust isn’t a big issue here. All in all I love my cute little pot, and it works great for what I got it for.

The saucepan arrived before the arrival date (coming from USA to Canada) and there were no chips in the enamel or anything wrong with it. I bought it to make garlic confit and the size works perfectly.

Generally, there were lots of good things about this pot. (1) It’s such a perfect size. It’s incredibly difficult to get 1QT size cast iron pots so the size was amazing. (2) The quality of the pot is really good. I used it twice and it cooked the food evenly and no food stuck to the bottom. (3) The colour was slightly disappointing as it was more of a pale pink than a bright bubblegum pink shown the in photo. However, I was willing to work with the colour. Ultimately, I decided to return the pot because (4) The handle is in my opinion dangerously short. The website description says “long handle” but the handle is only 3.5″ — My hands are small with the palm of my hand only 3″ across so, by the time I put on a pot holder, that’s now a total length of 4″ which is longer than the pot handle, thereby making the task of lifting the pot awkward. Meaning — if your hand of longer than the pot handle you cannot get a good grip. In my opinion, anytime a cooking tool is awkward, this is not a good sign. At any time that heavy hot cast iron pot can slip from your hand when tilting it over to pour hot food out. This made me too uncomfortable so I decided to return it. However, other than the issue of the length of the pot, the quality of the material itself is really good.
