Nice slicer
This is great for the price. My wife does sourdough sandwhich bread, and this is really convenient for getting consistent slices. I do wish the slots were a little thinner, or were potentially adjustable. For the price though, it’s a great value.

Ok but not impressed.
This was purchased to use with the bread from my bread machine. It is ok but the bread slips easily and a 3 lb loaf has to be turned on its side to cut. I would not purchase it again.

Creates perfect slices of bread, easy clean up
Fresh bread in your own kitchen, sliced in perfect even slices. That is what this bread slicer can do. You choose the width of the slices, from about a half an inch thick on up to whatever you want.Easy to set up and use with an end panel to keep the loaf from sliding while you slice. The side panels adjust for different width loaves. Just place your knife in the slots to correspond with where you want your cuts and you are on your way to smooth even slicing. Prior to getting this bread slicer as hard as I tried I never could make anywhere near even slices and I would smash the bread while trying to cut it. This makes your work easy and fun.With a built in crumb tray the clean up is so easy as most of the crumbs will be in the tray. When you are done using it, it easily disassembles with the end and side panels removable providing you with a flat item for easy storage. This will work for all kinds of bread including dessert and fruit and nut breads. Very satisfied with this item.

Helpful tool
I have tried out this bread slicer now a few times with a couple different types of bread. The first couple times I used it for my sourdough. While it does help aid in the cutting of sourdough, it is not an easy bread to cut evenly even with this slicer. I also made a loaf of sandwich bread and using this cutter, it looked store bought. The slices were beautiful and even. As you can tell from the close up picture, I am starting to cut some grooves into the base because of how difficult it is to get through the crust on sourdough. I’m not sure how this could be avoided. It also does a pretty good job of containing most of the crumbs. One thing I would like to see added, but isn’t completely necessary, would be another plastic end piece that holds the sides together. This would be helpful for holding bagels upright to slice. It is nice that it is adjustable for different sizes of bread and so far it has worked well for me.

So easy to assemble!
No instructions in the box but they aren’t necessary, There are only 5 pieces and when you pull them out of the box, the two base pieces are already together. The two larger pieces with slots obviously go on either side of your loaf (and there are multiple slots in the base section so you can size it appropriately for the loaf you are cutting) and the smaller piece goes into the end to hold the “butt” of your bread.I like that the slits for cutting don’t seem to make slices that are super thick, and the whole thing feels very secure and sturdy when assembled!Probably my favorite feature is that the base section collects your bread crumbs as you cut your slices, then you can remove the top piece of the base and collect the bread crumbs! Throw them in the oven or dehydrator and then add them to your bread crumbs in the pantry so nothing goes to waste!
