Does Its Job Fine
As the title says, the bread slicer does the job it’s intended to do. But I have a few things I did not like. One is the knife that comes with it. It’s thin and flimsy that it bends and wobbles while trying to slice through a bread. I felt uncomfortable enough that I switched to my own bread knife. The plastic parts too are a little bit flimsy it moves a bit while slicing a loaf of bread. Since the pieces move a bit while making slices, I wished there was one more piece of plastic slab to completely lock the loaf in place from all four sides. That way, I feel my hands are much safer, and slicing the very end of bread can be significantly easier. The final cut was always so much thicker than the rest because I was too scared to hold the bread. I tried the slicer with four loaves of bread before leaving this review.

Good design but very poorly made. Gets the job done but very flimsy! I doubt it lasts. No, would not recommend this and would not buy it again.

A must for slicing homemade bread
I made a loaf of homemade bread to test whether this would work as intended. It worked fine, and provided uniform slices, which is always an issue when cutting the slices freehand.There are several slots to adjust the width and the length, so the bread will be more stable when making the cuts. Be gentle when using the knife so it doesn’t contact too much with the plastic; that way both plastic and the sharpness of the knife will last longer.If you have ever cut homemade bread, you know how the crumbs can go everywhere. The crumb tray really helps to contain almost all the crumbs. (There’s always some that find their way onto the countertop)Cleanup was breeze with soap and water. I kept the box to store the unit in a cabinet. HINT: if you can’t seem to fit everything back in the box, store the sides under the bottom within the crumb tray. Then the end piece and the knife will easily fit in the other area of the box.

Flimsy
Doesn’t work as promised. The construction is flimsy and the slots flop around when trying to use it. Do not recommend. I had better success just cutting bread without it.

Love this bread slicer!
I love everything about this bread slicer; easy to assemble, easy to use, easy to clean. I love to bake my own bread, but getting it in uniform slices is always a challenge for me. Not anymore! The bread knife worked well for me. The crumb catcher at the bottom is a huge timesaver.
