For LIGHT USE transport.
This is a GREAT product for the price ($30 – July 2024). I live in 840 sq ft. Due to limited space, ALL kitchen appliances MUST have a storage bag so I can put it in the closet. This is GREAT for that purpose. It is also acceptable (not GREAT mind you) for OCCASSIONAL food transport. I’m talking the annual potluck or even monthly book talk meeting.I would NOT use this for regularly transporting HOT foods. It is NOT acceptable for high BUSINESS usage. The bag strength is just NOT there for that. (I used to have a home chef business with my ex spouse. So I am familiar with what bags work for business use when it comes to transporting food both long and short distances.) This is NOT that bag.The base / bottom strenth is not there. The heat retention (foil like silver lining) is just not thick enough to support regular business use. In an emergency you can probably get away with it (put a towel on the top of the container before closing and it will help insulate heat.But for home use / home storage / next door neighbor gathering / SHORT vehicle rides, I think this is great. Remember, not a lot of overall bag support. It collapses easily. It folds easily. So keep for LIGHT use and you’ll be fine.
