Works better than expected.
My family loves subs, but the way prices are now its gotten too expensive to buy them very often. My wife and kids are all very good bakers and when my son said he would like to try to make sub rolls like the ones they use at the sub shops, we started looking into what we would need and decided to give this product a try. I had my doubts just looking at it when it showed up but when I came home from work one day and there were these beautiful looking and smelling sub rolls cooling on a rack I was impressed!Being silicone it cleans up so easily! Great Product!

Wasnât sure at first
When I first got these I was unsure if I would use them. It is Super flimsy material and absolutely doesnât not hold on its own. You have to have a tray under it. However, it is 100% non stick, it works great for letting bread rise to shape then go straight to the oven. It cools quickly and Iâve made a lot of bread in these now.

And they are working just as I remember those others.It does take a little testing to get your loaf size to be what you want, but once you have that dialed in you’re off to the races. You can easily make great sandwich loaves of all manner and see them shaped in that perfect sub sandwich style.Really, we all know that the bread is often the best part of those expensive sandwich shops. Now you can do all that at home.And, if you want an extra tip, use frozen bread loaves from your local store when you’re in a rush! Simply place a frozen loaf in the fridge to thaw and rise. Then split and form your loaves for the form and bake. Quick and easy when you don’t have time to mix your own dough!

Perfectly Shaped Sub Rolls
Iâve been making bread, buns and sub rolls for a long time. But I was already looking for the perfect shape of my sub rolls. Iâm rather picky when I cook and bake.So I ordered this baking sheet. First thing I did was soak it in nearly boiling water with a drop of soap and let it soak and then rinsed it well.I made my typical bread recipe I use. This batch I added some garlic and herb seasoning weight out 195g of dough and placed them into the baking sheet that I put a baking sheet under for stability. That is a definite must for the baking sheet is basically to keep the shape of your dough.I let them rise one last time right before putting them in the oven I scored the loafs and sprinkled Colby Jack cheese.Baked 350 for 20 minutes. The Sub Rolls came out perfect and came out of the mold with ease. Iâm very pleased with the results.So, if youâre looking for perfect shaped Sub Rolls itâs worth it.

I have used this several times. It worked fine, until I put an egg wash on my bread. The egg wash cooked into the holes, and the mesh ripped as I took the bread out of it.

These molds are a game changer for making your own subs at home. I use fresh milled flour to make my subway style footlongs. They look like the real thing!If you’re buying these: Yes, they are flimsy, they aren’t supposed to be sturdy. They fit perfectly on a 13×18 baking sheet. Then I just remove the mold from the pan when done baking and cool on a cooling rack.I gave 4 stars because they are overall easy to clean, but when I use cheese for my subs they are a little more hassle to scrub down, but totally worth it.I’d recommend these and buy more if I need to.

I use fresh ground wheat and bake/cook everything from scratch. It can be a little tricky sometimes baking with fresh ground grain but this pan insert is phenomenal!The âsub bunsâ come out absolutely perfect every time, no hard crust at all.
