They were such a hit we were asked to purchase another set so they could be used for when company came.The dinner plates are a good size for larger portions and the smaller plates are good for a salad, desert, or even just a lunch. The bowls are a good size for just about any use. In our opinion, the bowls are a little big for having a bowl of fruit or ice cream, but for cereal, soup, or salad, they are perfect.Our only disappointment is that they are not microwave safe.

I wanted lightweight, reasonably priced dinnerware for the holidays. This dinnerware looked festive, was not heavy and did well in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, I had to remind my husband they were not to be put in the microwave multiple times. This is the only reason they were rated 4 stars.
