Great Pan for Making Bread
I made my first loaf of bread today using my Pullman Loaf Pan. All went exceptionally well. First of all, this Pullman Bread Pan is bigger than the average bread loaf pan, so the pan makes a bigger loaf. You have the option of using the lid to make your loaf into a rectangle, flat on top. I did not use the lid. Secondly, when the loaf was finished cooking, I merely turned the pan upside down, and the loaf came out so easily I was amazed. There are venting holes on the bottom of the pan, which helps the bread have even heating. Essentially, there was no cleaning necessary after use. I simply wiped it down. This was the easiest pan that Iâve used to cook cookies. When the pan is not in use, I can use the pan and lid to store a lot of bread making tools.

Nice loaf of bread
This bread pan made a nice loaf that slid right out with no sticking. I really appreciate the square shape of the loaf–perfect for sandwiches. I also liked that I didn’t have wonky end slices like I usually do with my regularly shaped (read: sloping sided) loaf pans. The pan does seem to be well made and sturdy. I do have a couple of nit-picky complaints. The pan does not have handles, and the top doesn’t attach tightly (it slides easily and freely, which is mostly a good thing), so it’s a little tricky to manage getting the pan into and out of the oven. In addition, my loaf turned out much darker than I would like, even though my oven usually cooks slow (my food is never done when a recipe says it should be), and I set the timer for the time mentioned in the recipe. Not sure if that’s because my dough was enriched, or maybe because of baking with a lid on, or perhaps because of the grooves in the pan, but it’s something to be aware of. The thing that bothered me the most about this pan is that it did not come with a recipe or even a recommendation for how much dough to use. I used the Easy Pullman Loaf Recipe â Pain De Mie Sandwich Bread from Hopewell Heights, and it filled the pan almost all the way, so that would be a good jumping off point if you’re needing a recipe.

Nice pan
I am excited to get this pan. The quality is very nice and the lid slides off and on with ease. I was surprised with the vent holes in the bottom but the pan worked nicely. My first square loaf of bread turned out perfectly. You won’t be disappointed with this pan

This is a great loaf pan. I have a family member who has decided to get into baking bread and this is a really nice pan that I hope she will use often.The first loaf came out perfect using this pan. It released from the pan easily. It kept the bread in the perfect shape for sandwiches. The lid is a nice touch.Very happy with this. I hope it means we get more homemade bread.

works well but a bit big
I wanted to start making sandwich bread for my family and pullman seemed like a good choice. This pan is nice material and seems to have good construction. The coating is smooth and even and nothing has stuck to it. The pan is a bit bigger than most pullman or pan de mie recipes are formulated for. A lot of them are for 13x4x4 pans and this is closer to 13x5x5. After doing some math I calculated a recipe to fill the whole pan and get that nice square loaf I was looking for. It bakes very well and is easy to clean up afterwards. The lid slides smoothly and keeps the dough contained nicely.

This is a double loaf pan that cooks evenly and consistently. The lid is mostly useless, but it’s fine for storage; you don’t need it for the bread to cook.I love the little scrappers and cutters.It’s around a great pan.5 Stars
