Neato – recommended!
I searched a while. This multipot is exactly what I wanted. It just arrived,Iâm canning small batch items – shorter jelly jars could go double deck and this will fit single layer pints and quarts for boiling method, no pressure, high acidity canning – in my case, tomatoes. Jar count would depend on jar shapes and volume. Estimate: 16 small jelly (double layer), 7-8 pints and at least 4-5 quarts?I make my own pasta.Fresh pasta only takes a few minutes, but this colander insert will be fast for removals and ease of tossing with sauces while easily preserving the boiling liquid (gold).Iâm considering purchasing an upright, smaller circumference strainer insert/s for asparagus or otherâ¦I like how low the large insert sets into the stockpot. My large insert is 1 inch above the stockpot bottom – meaning, I donât see water through the large insert holes until the stockpot is filled 1 inch high (liquid measure is 1.75 quarts).A lot depends on your heat source, but on my standard gas burner, it took 6 minutes to simmer 1 inch of water (1.75 quarts) and 8 minutes to a rolling boil (no salt added). If thatâs an ordeal for you – then you might want to consider the 8 Quart multipot instead of this 12 Quart size? The strainer holes are even, well placed and there are many perforations which helps to reduce resistance or water splashing when pulling it out of the stockpot, since reviewers of other brands noted theirs created a vacuum and the drainage was slower – sometimes outside the stockpot on bake brand models (including All Clad and Cuisinart at a higher price point). This pot avoids those user hazards – itâs a safer, thoughtful design. Both of the collander insertsâ holes are smooth, clean – well crafted, no snagging on foods or hands. The addition of the ample top steamer is handy for side vegetables or steaming proteins. By ample – I mean a 5 lb. sack of flour fits in it with room to spare. It has colander uses outside of the multi-pot for a quick vegetable wash-to-steamer function and fits other 8 Quart stockpots in standard diameter I have too. The basket handle wires cross in a domed X patten when extended upward and fold flat against the rim to allow the lid to go in place above it. If that interferes with your needs, you can just push them out and place them back later – theyâre flexible that way.The glass lid is handy for viewing and fits the rim in a âno to low leakâ way, since water vapor wicks and rolls back into the pot – domed slightly to direct water down the sides rather than dripping to sog food. Wet convection concept. I might have to set the lid ajar for longer cooks or sauce reductions, depending. I feel like the lid is more fragile/thinner than other tempered glass and stainless lids I have that fit this set. It makes a precious sound and vibration when I pat it gently with fingertips compared to tempered borosilicate like Pyrex. The steamer hole in the lid is a nice touch. The lid goes to 350° F in the oven, but I donât think Iâll put it in the oven. I will swap out a stainless lid for that since this stainless stockpot goes to 500°F and it seems suitable for oven temps. I donât relish the thought of oven patina on this pretty stainless polished finish though. I want to be clear, Iâm not that worried, but intend to be mindful of the glass lid – especially after user comments on other glass lidded multi-pots (especially the central, single hole, top knob varieties). The handles are ample while having good grip for me. Sturdy welds and the added touch of a smooth, rounded tapered cap on both screw sides eliminates any food traps or user snags, plus making it easier to clean. I had no trouble in my 1 inch/1.75 Quart rolling boil test handling it without mitts and emptying it. For a longer or higher volume boil. I would use mitts. These are mportant features with a stockpot this size. They get heavy when filled. That said, Iâll wait for it to cool down when full before emptying it – just because thatâs easier and safer for me (and the stockpot).Itâs a pretty polish on the stainless. Mirror-like.Great lines on the build – sleek and attractive with most decor. This diameter fits over my standard stovetop gas burners well – with comfortable clearance around for other burners to operate while itâs in use. That was another feature I wanted. The stainless with aluminum core heat dispersion bottom plate seems like an even build with a tight weld seam. Itâs about 3/8ths of an inch thick (about 1 centimeter). The plate has a consistent âtapâ sound perimeter to center. Thereâs an exterior 2.25 inch diameter round logo embossed on the bottom: Cook N Home, 18/10 Stainless, Made in China – with use icons for dishwasher, induction, gas, electricâ¦From the insert materials I see this is the producer and distributor Neway International Housewares for both Cook N Home and Cooks Standard brands with email, QR code, social media links, instruction card and a toll free number. One insert cautions against overfilling at rolling boil – like duh, lol. But this multi-pot doesnât have any garish âmax fillâ indicator lines to guide you and newer users wouldnât know to always leave unfilled expansion and item displacement space during their pre-heats. Who knew dropping in a metric funton of potatoes to boil for a salad could be a hazard? This is an excellent buy.I purchased the discounted, like new/excellent version and itâs truly pristine and well packaged. It doesnât appear to have been used. No pitting, zero problems. Iâm chuffed.Iâll update this review if thereâs ever an issue.I hope this helps you?

Awesome pot with multiple uses!
I bought this to use to make hot tamales as it includes the basket, that can also be used to steam vegetables. It also has the pasta strainer and a great tight sealing lid with the steam vent. The thick base with aluminum bonding is what I was looking for, and can make all the difference when cooking certain things. Now there are a few cons, but I didn’t consider them when ordering as I’m trying new recipes out. like for collards greens they required a smoked turkey leg. Well the size of the smoked turkey legs in stores near me are HUMONGOUS, and not one pot I own could hold one of them. I will consider cutting the meatless part of the bone off next time, as freezing the other one in a vacuum seal bag wasn’t easy either. NOT the POTS fault to be sure. The only other issue is it doesn’t hold a canning set I ordered as I started a garden this year as well, and it requires a 12″ diameter to fit in, again not the pots fault as I didn’t consider that option when ordering. Though most water canning pots don’t include the accessories this set offers either. This brand does offer a canning pot, again without these accessories.

Allllmost perfect!
The size, shape, sturdiness, handles and lid are all great, easy to use, well made. I would only like to see one difference, make the gap between the straining insert and outer stockpot smaller. I feel like Iâm wasting space and liquid at the bottom when Iâm cooking anything in the insert.

Well made pot!
I love the sturdy feel of this pot! It has a heavy bottom and sturdy handles and itâs the perfect size! I can boil enough potatoes for the whole family and have leftovers! I have to store it on its side in my cupboard but I was happy to make the room for it as I really love it! It is on the heavy side, so be aware of that, but itâs because itâs so well made and is a nice tall size with a straining basket and lid, perfect for pasta, potatoes, veggiesâ¦! And the silicone on the handles and lid is such a great feature! Means they are never too hot to touch! Great pot to own!

Large pot great customer serv
The pot is great for steaming veggies, corn on the cob, spaghetti. You do need to keep it ar a simmer once it reaches boiling. Our first pot was lost and they immediately sent out a replacement. Thank you.

I find it too big for my regular needs. The distance between the inside strainer & bottom of pot is really big. So you have to fill up with a lot of water before it reaches the strainer. Still good & will use, but just wish it were smaller. Price for me was a little high, but the quality is good & it’s a sturdy, quality pot. Overall it works well though.

I bought this pasta pot because I bought a new induction stove and my old pasta pot didnât have a magnetic bottom. Not only does this pot work on my induction stove – but it is deeper and fits long pasta (like spaghetti) without having to bend or break it. Highly recommend this pot. Also great for steaming.
