These are a high-quality knife set. Edge retention is superb, they stay sharp with little sharpening effort across ceramic sticks or a honing rod. Very balanced in the hand and effortlessly cut through meat and vegetables. Great price for this quality set of knives.

Sharp blade makes for EZ cutting
Replaced a couple of 20+ year old knives with these. The price was right, and the brand seems to have a solid reputation. They arrived very sharp, and ready to do some cutting. The blade on the larger knife has a good heavy feel to it, which I like, but I tend to use the smaller blade much more. Both slice through raw chicken breasts without problem. Normally I semi freeze to assist with slicing thin- not necessary now. No problem with control. A magnetic wall mounted knife holder works well in keeping them secured and at your fingertips. Cleaning is a breeze but do mind the blade; does not take much pressure before you find yourself seeking a bandage. The only downside I have found is a somewhat light feeling handle, (feels partially hollow). Perhaps this is for balance reasons, but the way I hold a knife when cutting personally throws the term, “a well-balanced knife”, into the rubbish bin. I prefer solid and heavy through and through. You cannot go wrong with this pair. I do recommend, but there are better for the same price. A recent purchase of a 3-piece Piklohas set for about the same price has impressed me, whereas with the Henckels I thought I would be more impressed.

These knives came right away and they felt great in my hands and are exactly the quality knives I’ve been needing for everything I do in the kitchen. The blade keeps a sharp edge for some time. I would recommend these quality knives to anyone with a busy kitchen!

Love the feel
I have another set of the Henckels knives but most commonly use the Santoku knife in that set for everything. I purchased this set so I did not have to stop and wash the other, I can grab a clean one. I have to say that I love the feel of this knife. It is very sharp and comfortable in my hand. Highly recommend.

Came refurbished, unless I happened to get the worst profile grinder on the planet.Good quality steel for the $35 I paid, but wouldnt recommend if above $50.Hopefully these were just a bad batch and no one else gets unlucky, or they know a good knife sharpener. I will personally be doing that myself as I wanted to sharpen and gift them off to family members.
