Economical Quality
This pan is easily comparable to some more expensive options for those that want true carbon steel pans without the chemical coatings. The only downside with this is the mineral oil coating. I highly recommend cleaning off the mineral oil coating and replacing it with a traditional lard/oil seasoning.

Good quality, works well!
We’ve had a number of these in the past several years, and they get crusty with cooking, then the “nonstick” coating comes off when we try to get them clean. They’re only good for 1-2 seasons up north. Now we live down south, and grill year-round. We needed a more durable option. I think this is it! We’ve even grilled teriyaki (very sticky) in it a number of times, and it always comes clean without damaging the surface! The removable handle was important to us as well, and I like that it has a locking mechanism so we can turn the pan over to empty it without it coming off the handle. If you’re tired of disposable grill pans this truly is the one you want!

No Silcone handle, ordered 2 with same result.
I have not used the pan yet, but the pictures are false advertising. I have ordered 2 now and the handle is not the silicone handle in the photos, it is a detachable handle with no cool handle to speak of. Amazon has been poor with inspecting feedback and openbox items lately. I have received several used or damaged items that were labeled Good or Like New. I’d love to own this pan with the silicone handle. I bought the skillet with holes for the grill.

This is just what the Doctor ordered … fits my Big Green Egg perfectly WITH a removable Handle!!Unfortunately the Delivery dude stepped on a Beautiful Mum in the Ground, and this cost me TWICE AS MUCH AS I PAID replacing the MUM – yes, he DEMOLISHED IT!!!

Solid pan
The reviews on this page seem to be for a wok. I am reveiwing OXO Obsidian Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel, 15″ x 10.5″ Roasting Pan. It is carbon steel, so it can rust. I have had it since December. It has been great overall, great heat distribution. I have a lot of OXO products, so I may be bias. However this is as good as the others, great value for the money.

I was looking at Made-In and several other pans, which were $70-$90 range…this is just as good for half the price, and I really like the silicone handle!
