Worth it for the separate appliance!
We have an instant pot and a gas stove. I did not really buy into the idea that we ALSO need a rice cooker. Why? We can just make rice in the instant pot or on the stove.
Except sometimes you already have something in the instant pot, your toddler is hungry, and you need rice fast and at the same time. Enter this cute little thing. There it sits. Humming away. Making perfect rice (including with added coconut milk or spices) every time. Brown rice. White rice. I havenât tried oatmeal but I will. Itâs perfection and exactly the right size for two adults and a toddler. I love making fresh, warm rice for dinner every day without the hassle and itâs so easy to clean out and so cute! Easy to use. Adorably small. Perfect.

It’s a great little rice cooker. It’s much smaller than I expected when I ordered honestly but this is no issue for me. Max it will hold 1.5 cups of rice. The first couple times I used it it did give off a strong chemical smell which was a little concerning but did not affect the taste of the rice and was completely gone by the 3rd use.
They give you a little cup which measures 3/4 cup and if you fill the rice cooker to max which is 2 of the cups they give you it will be hard to fluff the rice because it does completely fill it up. I also noticed that using the instructions they provide you the rice comes out a bit overcooked and mushy for my taste. I have taken to using 1 cup and a filling it hardly enough to cover the rice (a teeny bit less than. 1 c water) and it cooks perfectly.
It comes with a glass lid so if you have leftovers I have taken to just putting the lid on and popping it in the fridge! It comes in a variety of cute colors and takes up minimal counter space and is super easy to clean. I have a a family of 3 and this cooks the perfect amount for us all. Super affordable and definitely worth the buy!

Handy little rice maker
You need to test the measurements for the type of rice you use, and how soft/fluffy you prefer your rice, but it does a nice job overall. The lid gets a little sticky, but easy to clean.

I put this off forever…. but shouldn’t have waited!
Some people complain that making rice is a pain, but I’ve never had a problem with it. I could never see the need for a rice cooker. And I even have a lot of friends who are much better cooks than I am, who make rice all the time, and they all have rice cookers that they rave about. But I just couldn’t imagine taking up space in my kitchen counter or cupboards for a “one-hit-wonder” that I really didn’t need.
Then my girlfriend complained to me one day about how hard it is to make rice and other grains, so I bought her one of these little guys. The next day, we busted it out and made some brown rice. Boom! No problem. She was hooked! And… I was hooked! So I bought this one as soon as I got home.
The beauty of this cooker is that it’s small – just the right size for one or two people. And it uses the same design used for decades in other rice cookers. It’s simple, effective and works beautifully. The reason I like it now is that it uses one less burner on the stove and it takes care of itself. As I’m working on the rest of the meal, it just sits in the corner, minding its own business and cooking the rice. Once the rice is ready, it keeps it warm until the rest of the meal is ready to go.
The cooker comes with a variety of recipes and outlines other uses beyond rice. I might get adventurous one of these days and give them a try. But given that it can heat soups and oatmeal and other “one-pot” dishes, it would be a great gift for a student or someone living in a studio apartment. I love it!

Good quality rice cooker. The size is nice because it doesnât take up too much space. Also like how it looks and the Color is nice. Easy to use, cooks rice quickly and turns out delicious. Iâm able to cook the rice while I prep other ingredients for meals which is convenient with little kids. Overall great product thatâs also easy to clean and can store it in a small space.

EZ 2 Use & Perfect Rice Every Time
Very simple to operate and worth the small investment. No more boiled over pots, making a mess on the stove. Truly a set it and forget it device which keeps the finished product warm after the cook cycle is completed with light indicating its status. Clean up 1-2-3 as well with a nonstick coated reservoir pot.

I am glad I read other reviews. It makes 2c of uncooked rice, but you have to use the cup provided (measured to 1/3 cup). 2c uncooked rice is like three portions for me! I will update if anything goes wonky haha. I highly recommend downloading the recipe through the QR code in the manual. It hase some great recipes I am excited to try.
