A little slow but worth the wait.
I love this toaster. It is a little slow but makes the best toast ever. Plus it’s super cute and matches my red Kitchen-Aid mixer. Buttons are hard to read because the icons are very small and you also have to remember what the icons stand for. I’ve put the guide book inside the cabinet above just in case I need to refer to it to figure out a button I don’t use every day. The extra long single slot is ingenious but doesn’t fit 2 slices of most bread–2 English muffins and 2 slices of raisin bread are fine, but only 1 slice of many other types of bread that will fit in a standard double toaster. Still, it is perfect for a thick slice of an artisan bread. This is exactly what I wanted–a toaster that doesn’t burn the toast and fits artisan bread at a reasonable price. Plus it doesn’t take much counter space and looks great.

    It toasts!
It works. It toasts with multiple settings it’s long but skinny. My mom only gives it 4 stars because the pop up on English muffins she wishes it was higher.

    Works Great
I tried 3 cheaper toasters and none would toast evenly. Sent them all back. The point is you cannot get a good toaster for 40.00.This one was a little more money, but, really worth every penny.Cheers,Jim

    Does not toast
Wanted my mom to have a nice toaster and I thought KitchenAid was a really good brand generally speaking in appliances. This toaster cost well over $100. And it does not perform its main function. We tried toasting the bread, two times back to back and turned it up to the highest possible setting, it wasn’t even brown. The bread was barely warm, but not toasted. When we went to return it with the code from Amazon, we had to purchase a box to ship it back for an additional eight dollars. The item did not come in the box. It was just dropped at our door in the manufacturers box, there was no brown box. Overall I’m very disappointed with the toaster. It does not work. It does not toast and cost us money to return it which should not have been the case for a defective item. do not waste your money. Do not buy this toaster other than looking nice it does not work. Does not perform. It’s main function.

    Good toast nice functions
pretty toaster. Toasted evenly good toast on all sides. Pushes up higher. Several functions that are useful. Overpriced, but after a long search and returning 2 toasters. I paid the bucks but it’s sturdy feeling. Metal. Shiny and pretty. And the long 2 slice takes up less space on the counter. And it work as a toaster should. I just hope it lasts 20 years!correction: toaster is PLASTIC outside not metal. but is shiny.

    One slot toaster
Even at the highest level this toaster will not burn your bread. I love that it will hold homemade slices of artisanal bread. And I love love love the red color!

Too much focus on “cool, sleek, modern” aesthetics. Not enough focus on efficiency/ease of use
We bought the 2 Slice Long Slot Toaster with High-Lift Lever off of Amazon.Since we got it we have had several issues but felt that the positives outweighed the negatives (mostly aesthetic but not functionality),so we dealt w the annoyances.Today we have officially reached above and beyond the annoyance threshold. The brand name, “KichenAid” dominates most of our kitchen items/appliances/mixer& attachments/baking tools etc., and never have any problems. However, this toaster has now reached “complain about it” status. Here it goes:1: OUCH! “high lift lever”, NOT so highThe toast doesn’t pop up high enough when finished to safely extract said toast from toaster once toasted. I burn myself extracting toast (w/various random tools TO extract it) from the machine 9 times out of 10.Currently, I have a ridiculous baseball-like strategy to get the toast out.I aggressively shove the lever up as hard as I can to give the toast some height -so it projects upwards just enough above the the actual toaster. Then I use a fork/knife/a pen/a spatula whatever is closest at the time to swing & BAT the toast as hard as I can so that it lands OUTSIDE AND AWAY from the toaster. Seriously. This is what I do. For those who aren’t so great in the hand-eye coordination category, I wonder how long it’s been since you’ve been able to consume toasted bread. There is a gigantic crumb mess all over my countertop more often then than not, because of this tactic but I don’t know how else to get it out. It’s the best I could do haha. I am PRETTY sure that there is a better, more efficient way to get toast out of a toaster WITHOUT having to BAT the toast out of toaster via ANY object nearby even remotely resembles and performs functions similar to a baseball bat.2: Lever Design/Function5 out of 5 people I’ve done little experiments/studies with about this agree. The lever functions and design are counterintuitive and confusing (this was REALLY bugging me and I had to know if I was the only one confused by the levers and their functions lol hence my little experiment). The SMALLER/THINNER slidey lever is for pushing toast DOWN to BEGIN toasting. The BIGGER/THICKER/FLAT lever shaped as if intended & created specifically for a human thumb to press DOWN only on it, (as if to BEGIN toasting process), is ACTUALLY the lever for adjusting the level of “toast-ness” that you’d want.(sorry I don’t know another word for level of toast-ness lol).So the slidey lever is for pressing down/begin toasting?Yes.That seems totally backwards.3: MORE options/buttons below 2 leversThese buttons have pictures of toast next to each option. I think these are to reinforce the level of “toast-ness” you’d want?? Maybe to “make sure” you’re communicating consistent requests on levels of toastness? No idea. Totally confused. Seems redundant.Anyway, I digress….I never know wth to choose/do when just trying to toast some bread. This process typically:A) I slide one lever all the way down- to begin toasting process and I almost almost ALWAYS start w/ the wrong lever (#cuzcounterintuitive & also because I can’t commit this to memory for some reason lol)B) Then, I have to slide that lever back to where i want it and press down the other lever (the correct lever/slidey lever) to begin the toasting processC) Then, I press at random one of the, “just making sure/redundant option/choose level of toastness” buttons, located under the 2 levers.4: Cleaning is IMPOSSIBLEThere is a tray to slide out as there is with most toasters, but the majority of the crumb collection isn’t on the tray, it’s stuck in the metal wiring parts on the sides & the metal that the tray slides into. This is annoying because,a)I cannot reach all even with a thin toolb)Concern for future “toasting’s”, burning old fallen pieces etc.,c)Shaking the toaster vigorously for 30min also doesn’t workTalk about an extremely time consuming/frustrating project. It is too late to return on Amazon because we have missed the return window and now we are left with a toaster that was not only pricey but also rendered itself more of a hassle than not in order to use it. It’s just toast, man. It shouldn’t be this complicated.KitchenAid products have regularly been solid/consistent. Perhaps too much focus was placed on the cool, sleek – modern design and not enough focus on the machines actual efficiency and ease of use.Regardless, felt strongly that anyone considering purchasing this product be made aware of our experience.

Es muy bonito de vista, pero en función deja mucho que desear por el precio, no Tosta parejo de los dos lados, debes voltear el pan y tostar de nuevo, las funciones adicionales duran muy poco y no agregan mucho al tostado ya pedí mi devolución
