They are not perfect, they have some sharp burs that are easily fixed with a small file or sand paper, but for the price I don’t mind. They are really good for grabbing small or medium and larger meat like steaks on the grill, and long enough to reach over a hot flame or grill, also great on a skillet or frying pan, or even serving food, the plastic handles insulate you hands. They are a bit on the flimsy side but adequate for most most your cooking needs I wouldn’t use them to pick up a whole chicken though, one gauge thicker would seal the deal for a big fryer. I recommend you buy two of them for making taco shells, making it easy to shape them.

Looks better than it is
On paper, this tong looks like a nimble and durable tool. In reality, it has a design flaw. When I first got it, I was surprised to see the two arms (tips?) pressed together. A piece of paper in the box explains that one needs to spread the two arms of the tong apart before using it. OK, the arms must have been pressed together for shipping. It took no effort to spread them apart — therein lies the problem. As soon as you use the tong to pick something up, you need to spread the arms apart again. For that reason, I am not sure how long this tool will last.
