Do not buy this pot.
I bought this pot thinking it would be perfect to make soup. DO NOT BUY! It burned while I sauted bacon on medium heat while I was watching the pot. It even burned while cooking on low heat. I do not recommend buying this pot. I would return it, but I already cooked in it so they probably wouldn’t take it back. So disappointed.

difficult to clean
cooking pasta (in well water) leaves a lot of small spots at the bottom of the pot that are difficult to impossible to clean – even with Bon Ami (I did start with just a cloth). This new pot is almost as bad as my 50 year old pot, but maybe I’d get similar results with any SS pot.UPDATE 5-10-24: this was a case of ignorance. I did some research, and found that the tenacious pasta residue is easily cleaned with vinegar and a cloth or paper towel (it works). Expecting that the pasta residue issue is common to all SS, I raise my rating to 5 stars.Actually, the pot is small for spaghetti, but it takes little time to bend the spaghetti into the water, and I add half that time to the cooking, to maintain the “al dente” texture. And being just a bit small, makes the pot easier to handle and wash.
