Large cast iron, you can’t beat it!
I am converting my lifestyle to get ready for tiny house living in my retirement years. I like cast iron but I don’t always like the handles because the handles make it hard to store sometimes as they sort of get in the way yes they’re helpful when it comes to lifting pans and stuff but sometimes you just don’t want to handle in your way. Well I like these pans because a since it’s called a baker’s pan it’s a little bit lighter weight than the standard skillets that Lodge makes but it’s just as tough and Cooks just as fine as the regular Skillets with the handles. I have one of these and a double handled 12-in skillet both of these, workout fantastic as far as storage easy to put away they don’t take up a lot of space. They can fit in smaller tabletop size convection ovens and work perfect for handling things to say roasting pans they’re good all purpose the double handles work great you get a little bit used to him and you don’t miss the regular handle at all once you have acclimated I highly recommend getting one or two of these and pairing down the rest of your cookware these are workhorses and they do the job and they do it well!

Fantastic, versatile pan
I’ve had this pan for 10 months now and use it almost every day. It took a while to season but it has NEVER disappointed me. Whether roasting, slow cooking, or frying on the stove top or roasting or baking in the oven, it’s great!! Yes, you can roast on the stove top or in the oven.I suggest you use Crisco shortening to season it. It works better than oil.

Great Cast Iron Skillet
This cast iron skillet is perfect. It was pretty well seasoned when I bought it but since this is not my first cast iron skillet I knew how to season it and now I know how to clean them properly. I have had no problem with my cornbread sticking to the bottom. It is easy to clean and season and I still season after each use. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to start with their first seasoned cast iron skillet.

I love Lodge stuff.
Buy the lid and the silicone handles together. Tomato sauces are hard on cast iron, but I do them anyway. It strips away the seasoning, but wipe it with a thin coat of vegetable oil and bake at 400F for an hour. This is a touch too small for my chili and curries so it risks boil-over, but it fits in the fridge better for leftovers.None of the non-stick pans remain non-stick but this thing can re-season forever. Good to get iron in your diet, not teflon.

This is the PERFECT Baker for Everything!
I already owned the Lodge 10″ double handled skillet with the Cast Iron Lid and it is perfect for all my skillet uses as well as serving as a small brazier with the lid. It will bake, but I always thought it was heavier than needed for baking.I saw this “Baker” advertised and immediately noted the lighter weight. After reading the reviews, I ordered this pan along with the “sized” red rubber handle protectors. I am glad I did.Wow, this thing is a baking machine. I have now done about 25 different cornbread recipes worth of cornbreads and this thing is perfect. It takes a 400 – 425 degree preheat with ease and sizzles that batter as I drop my pour. I have scanned the preheated pan with an IR reader and it is perfect from rim to rim and across the center. The weight difference is Wonderful for getting the hot pan in and out of the oven. I have ZERO sticking issues.Preheat it for a pan of drop biscuits or grease it up for a pan of cut biscuits. No hot spots.I did work on the seasoning a bit before my first bakes but only in that I used a can of crisco shortening and layered on a bit more seasoning. You can’t go wrong with this one, especially at the price. Get the rubber handle heat protectors for this pan but clip them on AFTER you pull the pan with your mitts.v/r rch

Great for camping, gift giving and cooking in
Got these for the sons and grandsons. All outdoor fishing, hunting and camping guys. Wrapped up with outdoor game cookbooks and other camping gear. I use cast iron in our home and this is a heavy quality pan.

Just plain and simple
I have good clad stainless cookware that works well on my new induction cooktop. However I am concerned with the handles hanging over. Since Iâve been using some other cast iron cookware, I wanted new stuff for this cooktop. These Lodge pans are perfect size for the two burners. Handles are compact. Preseason finish makes cleanup easy. So far, Iâm finding these are my most versatile pans. They can go into my oven, out on the grill or into the smoker.

As Goldilocks said, it’s just right!
I’ve been slowly replacing an old set of Circulon cookware that I’ve had since the early 90s. I decided to go with Lodge cast iron for the skillets because, with proper seasoning, they are non-stick and can also be used for acidic foods. However, I found that the Lodge 12″ pan I purchased a few years ago is way too heavy to lift with one hand, especially when it’s hot and filled with ingredients. The size is also a bit too large when cooking for just two people. Thanks to Black Friday I was able to snag this 10.25″ Lodge Cast Iron Baker’s Skillet. What a difference 1.75″ makes. {wink} It’s the perfect size and weight, has two handles so it can easily be transported to the oven or the sink, and I LOVE that it came with a glass lid. As Goldilocks said, it’s just right! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because Lodge claims their pans are pre-seasoned. While they may have seasoned it a little, the pan was in no way ready to fry an egg. Even with a bit of butter fat in the pan my egg was a hot comical disaster! It’s probably common sense to people who are more familiar with cast iron, but it didn’t even occur to me that it wouldn’t be good straight out of the box.Lesson learned: Always do several rounds of seasoning before using a new cast iron pan!

This is exactly what I wanted. Two handles. Not too heavy. I will use this for everything-roasting, saute, baking, any and all cooking applications. I have a larger Lodge skillet which is excellent but too heavy to lift in/out of oven so I like it better for larger meals/stovetop use. I have an induction range which I love and cast iron works great for this range type or any range type, not too mention cast iron is 100% my preferred cookware for everything, especially roasting.

Sà he tenido cuidado de calentarlo despacio. Es la medida ideal para una âsmash burgerâ porque en los de 8 pulgadas no caben bien las espátulas.Este es muy chico para dos o tres hamburguesas a la vez, y ya necesitarÃas pensar en uno de 12 pulgadas (30 cm).

Nice Pan, very good quality. Good weight to the pan and comes pre seasoned. I use it for deep pan pizzas with my Ooni pizza oven.

Low quality and it will loose its seasoning coat very fast. Then, your food will become black, full of this lodge black. DON’T BUY Lodge online, since it may be not a genuine, maybe another duplicated product.
